PETER RABBIT 2: THE RUNAWAY (2021) - Trailers, Clip, Featurettes, Images and Posters

"Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway" is a live-action/CG-animated adventure comedy directed by Will Gluck ("Peter Rabbit", "Easy A") from a script co-written by Gluck and Patrick Burleigh.

The film is a sequel to the 2018 film "Peter Rabbit", and it stars Domhnall Gleeson, Rose Byrne and David Oyelowo alongside the voices of James Corden, Elizabeth Debicki, Margot Robbie, Aimee Horne, Lennie James, Hayley Atwell and Sia.

"Peter Rabbit 2" was originally scheduled for release in February 2020, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was eventually released in theaters on March 25, 2021 in Australia, May 17th in the UK, and June 11th in the US.

Weekend Box-Office: BLACK PANTHER Tops $500 Million

"Black Panther" secured its third consecutive weekend at the top of the box-office and continues to blow away expectations. Meanwhile, new arrivals "Red Sparrow" and "Death Wish" performed as well as can be expected for hard R-rated films going against Disney's behemoth.

Weekend Box-Office: BLACK PANTHER Scores Fifth Largest Opening of All-Time

As expected, Marvel's "Black Panther" stormed the box-office and broke records. Meanwhile, the animated film "Early Man" flopped, and the biblical saga "Samson" somehow managed to break into the Top 10.

Co-written and directed by Will Gluck ("Easy A", "Annie") based on characters created by Beatrix Potter, the animated film "Peter Rabbit" tells the story of the titular mischievous and adventurous rabbit (voiced by James Corden) whose feud with Mr. McGregor (Domhnall Gleeson) escalates to greater heights than ever before as they rival for the affections of the warm-hearted animal lover who lives next door (Rose Byrne).

The film also stars Sam Neill and features the voices of Daisy Ridley, Margot Robbie, Elizabeth Debicki, Sia, David Wenham, Rachel Ward and Bryan Brown.

"Peter Rabbit" opened in theaters on February 9, 2018 and received mixed reviews from critics. While the film is considered suitable for younger viewers, it will certainly annoy fans of Potter's original works. The film grossed $25 million in its opening weekend against a $50 million budget.

Weekend Box-Office: FIFTY SHADES FREED Tops Charts as Franchise Hits $1 Billion

The third installment in the "Fifty Shades" series finished the weekend at the top of the box-office, but failed to make much of an impression compared to its predecessors. Meanwhile "Peter Rabbit" and Eastwood's "The 15:17 to Paris" scored decent openings.

In Theaters: FIFTY SHADES FREED, THE 15:17 TO PARIS, PETER RABBIT and GOLDEN EXITS

This week in theaters we have the third and final (THANK GOD!) installment in the "Fifty Shades" franchise, titled "Fifty Shades Freed". Obviously, the film has been getting all kinds of bad karma from critics and moviegoers, but that's not going to stop it from making a ton of money. Other new releases include Clint Eastwood's patriotic ode "The 15:17 to Paris" and the animated film "Peter Rabbit". In limited release, the drama "Golden Exits" starring Emily Browning is worth a look.
