"Second Act" is a romantic comedy directed by Peter Segal ("50 First Dates") from a script by Justin Zackham ("Bucket List") and Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas.

The film stars Jennifer Lopez as a 40-year-old woman struggling with frustrations from unfulfilled dreams, who reinvents her life and gets the chance to prove to Madison Avenue that street smarts are as valuable as book smarts. Vanessa Hudgens, Leah Remini, Milo Ventimiglia, Annaleigh Ashford, Charlyne Yi and Treat Williams co-star. The film features the original song "Limitless" composed by Sia and performed by Lopez (music video included after the jump).

"Second Act" opened in theaters on December 21, 2018 and received mostly mixed reviews from critics. The film has grossed $12 million, so far, at the domestic box-office.

Co-written and directed by Will Gluck ("Easy A", "Annie") based on characters created by Beatrix Potter, the animated film "Peter Rabbit" tells the story of the titular mischievous and adventurous rabbit (voiced by James Corden) whose feud with Mr. McGregor (Domhnall Gleeson) escalates to greater heights than ever before as they rival for the affections of the warm-hearted animal lover who lives next door (Rose Byrne).

The film also stars Sam Neill and features the voices of Daisy Ridley, Margot Robbie, Elizabeth Debicki, Sia, David Wenham, Rachel Ward and Bryan Brown.

"Peter Rabbit" opened in theaters on February 9, 2018 and received mixed reviews from critics. While the film is considered suitable for younger viewers, it will certainly annoy fans of Potter's original works. The film grossed $25 million in its opening weekend against a $50 million budget.

Rooney Mara and Sia Join Forces for VOX LUX

Rooney Mara has signed on to star in the drama "Vox Lux", a drama that focues on the rise of a pop star, charting her evolution over the course of fifteen years, between 1999 and the present day, from the ashes of a major national tragedy to superstardom. Singer/songwriter Sia is also on board to provide original songs for the film's soundtrack.

The film is directed by Brady Corbet ("The Childhood of a Leader") and it will be shot on 65mm large format film and exhibit on 70mm large format film. Shooting is expected to begin in February 2017.

This isn't the only project on Mara's table. This year she finished work on the Terrence Malick film "Weightless" and the romantic sci-fi "The Discovery". She is also set to star as Mary Magdalene opposite Joaquin Phoenix in Garth Davis' obviously titled "Mary Magdalene". Her 2016 films also include the dramas "Una", "Lion" and "The Secret Scripture".
