Created by Ava DuVernay ("Selma") based on the novel of the same name by Natalie Baszile, the series follows the life of three siblings, who move to Louisiana to claim an inheritance from their recently departed father - an 800-acre sugarcane farm.

The cast features Rutina Wesley, Dawn-Lyen Gardner, Kofi Siriboe, Omar J. Dorsey, Nicholas L. Ashe, Dondre Whitfield, Ethan Hutchinson, Bianca Lawson and Tina Lifford.

QUEEN SUGAR Season 2 Trailers, Images and Posters

The second season of the drama series "Queen Sugar" premieres tonight on OWN at 10p. A second new episode will follow tomorrow at 10p, while the rest of the episodes will air on a weekly basis, Wednesdays at 10p.

The series focuses on three siblings, one brother (Kofi Siriboe) and two sisters (Rutina Wesley and Dawn-Lyen Gardner), who move to the heart of Louisiana to claim an inheritance from their recently departed father - an 800-acre sugarcane farm.

"Queen Sugar" was created by Ava DuVernay ("Selma") and executive-produced by Oprah Winfrey. The second season will feature 16 episodes and will once again feature an all-women roster of directors, as well as a new showrunner, Monica Macer ("Nashville", "Lost").
