"She Dances" is a dramedy directed by actor-turned-fillmaker Rick Gomez ("Band of Brothers", "Silo") in his directorial debut from a script he co-wrote alongside Steve Zahn. The latter also stars alongside his daughter Audrey Zahn, Ethan Hawke, Sonequa Martin-Green, Mackenzie Ziegler, Rosemarie DeWitt, Michael Cudlitz and Wynn Everett. The film premiered at the 2025 Tribeca Festival, and was released in select theaters on March 27, 2026. On April 28, 2026 it was released on digital platforms.

"Sarah's Oil" is a biogaphical drama directed by Cyrus Nowrasteh ("The Stoning of Soraya M.", "The Young Messiah") from a script co-written by Nowrasteh and Betsy Giffen Nowrasteh based on the 2014 non-fiction book "Searching for Sarah Rector: The Richest Black Girl in America". The cast includes Naya Desir-Johnson, Tamala Jones, Zachary Levi, Sonequa Martin-Green, Garret Dillahunt, Bridget Regan and Jonathan Lipnicki. The film opened in theaters on November 7, 2025.

BOSTON BLUE Series Trailer, Featurette, Images and Posters

"Boston Blue" is a new police procedural drama series developed by Brandon Sonnier and Brandon Margolis. The show is a spinoff of "Blue Bloods" that focuses on Danny Reagan, played by Donnie Wahlberg, who joins Boston PD. The cast also includes Sonequa Martin-Green, Maggie Lawson, Marcus Scribner, Mika Amonsen, Gloria Reuben, Ernie Hudson, Ashley Leggat, Marisa Ramirez and Bridget Moynahan. "Boston Blue" has premiered on October 17, 2025 on CBS, and also streams on Paramount+.

"My Dead Friend Zoe" is a dramedy directed by Kyle Hausmann-Stokes in his feature directorial debut from a script he co-wrote alongside A.J. Bermudez. The story was inspired by Hausmann-Stokes' time serving five years in Iraq as a paratrooper and convoy commander, which also inspired him to direct the 2022 short film "Merit x Zoe". The cast features Sonequa Martin-Green, Natalie Morales, Gloria Reuben, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Morgan Freeman and Ed Harris. The film premiered at the 2024 South by Southwest, and opened in theaters on February 28, 2025.

The 14-episode second season of the sci-fi series "Star Trek: Discovery" is set to premiere on January 17, 2019 on CBS All Access, at 8p ET. New episodes will stream weekly on Thursdays. The first season's showrunners Gretchen J. Berg and Aaron Harberts returned, but were fired during production and replaced by co-creator Alex Kurtzman.

Created by Bryan Fuller and Kurtzman, the series is set ten years before the adventures of the USS Enterprise, and it follows the crew of the USS Discovery as they explore new worlds and lifeforms. The new season introduces Spock (Ethan Peck) and finds Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) taking over command of the USS Discovery.

The main cast features Sonequa Martin-Green, Doug Jones, Shazad Latif, Anthony Rapp, Mary Wiseman and Wilson Cruz. Tig Notaro also appears in a recurring role, and guests include James Frain, Rebecca Romjin and Michelle Yeoh.

"Star Trek: Discovery" is the first new series set in the Star Trek universe since 2001's "Enterprise". Created by Alex Kurtzman (writer on both "Star Trek" reboot installments directed by J.J. Abrams) and Bryan Fuller ("Hannibal, "American Gods"), the show is set 10 years before the events of the original series and it follows the adventures of the U.S.S Discovery, as it sets out to explore strange new worlds and boldly go where no one has gone before.

Production on the series was delayed when Fuller had to depart as showrunner. He remains attached to the project as a producer, alongside "Wrath of Khan" director Nicholas Meyer. Gretcher J. Berg and Aaron Harberts were brought on board as showrunners.

The cast features Sonequa Martin-Green, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Yeoh, Doug Jones, Rekha Sharma, Maulik Pancholy, Rainn Wilson and Mary Wiseman.

"Star Trek: Discovery" premieres tonight, September 23rd, 2017 on CBS at 8:30p. Following tonight's premiere, the series can be watched exclusively on the CBS All Access streaming service, with seven additional new episodes, including a second new episode tonight. The second half of the season will be released in January.
