Sabrina 1995 New On Bluray

Product Description: Love is a funny thing. Especially when Harrison Ford, Julia Ormond and Greg Kinnear form the warmest, winningest romantic triangle ever. This 1990s update of the play Sabrina Fair and its 1954 Billy Wilder adaptation was directed by Sydney Pollack (3 Days of the Condor, Tootsie) and shimmers like a fairy tale. Ford plays Linus Larrabee, a busy tycoon who has no room for love in his appointment book. But when a romance between his playboy brother (Kinnear) and Sabrina (Ormond), daughter of the family chauffeur, threatens one of Linus’ business deals, the CEO clears his schedule for some ruthlessness. He courts Sabrina, intending to drop her when the deal closes. Will “the world’s only living heart donor” discover his heart? Of course! But, like the best journeys, the fun isn’t just the destination, it’s the getting there.

Eyes Wide Shut 1999 New On Bluray And 4k Ultra Hd

Product Description: Stanley Kubrick’s career-capping Eyes Wide Shut unfolds in a dreamscape vision of New York City, where doctor Bill Harford (Tom Cruise) and his wife, Alice (Nicole Kidman), confront the unconscious desires, jealousies, and fears threatening their marriage. A Christmastime odyssey into a surreal sexual underworld whose hidden power structures are laid frighteningly bare, the film marks the fulfillment of the director’s decades-long desire to adapt Arthur Schnitzler’s novella Traumnovelle (Dream Story) and the culmination of his obsessive interest in the relationship between institutional authority and the individual. Released in 1999, the film also serves as a fitting coda to a century of cinema, by one of its greatest visionaries—an endlessly tantalizing labyrinth whose myriad symbols, mysteries, and meanings are still being unraveled.

they-shoot-horses-dont-they-dvd-and-blu-ray-special-edition

Product Description: Screen legend Jane Fonda (Coming Home) stars in this vivid, fascinating film as a woman driven to seize her last best chance during the very worst of times. A brilliant achievement by director Sydney Pollack (The Scalphunters), They Shoot Horses, Don t They? is a stunning period piece recognized as one of the most highly acclaimed films of its time.

In Depression-era America, desperation spawned a bizarre fad: the dance marathon where couples competed to stay on their feet for thousands of hours, and audiences flocked to watch. But Gloria (Fonda) doesn't think of herself as a spectacle. She is a fierce, unforgiving contestant in a battle she's determined to win. At stake is much more than the $1,500 prize; the event is her only hope for dignity, accomplishment and salvation.

The stellar cast includes Michael Sarrazin (The Reincarnation of Peter Proud), Susannah York (The Killing of Sister George), Gig Young (Five Miles to Midnight), Red Buttons (The Poseidon Adventure), Bonnie Bedelia (Die Hard), Bruce Dern (The Laughing Policeman), Michael Conrad (Monte Walsh) and Al Lewis (The Munsters).

Nominated for nine Academy Awards including Best Actress (Fonda), Supporting Actress (York), Director (Pollack), Screenplay (James Poe, Robert E. Thompson) and winner of Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Young).

Tootsie (1982) Blu-ray Criterion Collection

Product Description: In 'Tootsie,' the character Michael Dorsey lands the role of a lifetime—as does the actor playing him, Dustin Hoffman. This multilayered comedy from director Sydney Pollack follows the increasingly elaborate deception of a down-on-his-luck New York actor who disguises himself as a woman to get a coveted soap opera gig; while his female persona skyrockets to fame, he finds himself learning to be a better man. Hoffman's ball-busting yet disarmingly sweet Dorothy Michaels is a sensational comic creation, given support by a stellar cast including Dabney Coleman, Charles Durning, Teri Garr, George Gaynes, Bill Murray, and, in her first Oscar-winning role, Jessica Lange. Imbued with poignant drama, Tootsie is a funny and cutting film from an American moment defined by shifting social and sexual identities.
