Product Description: Bianca (Mae Whitman) is a content high school senior whose world is shattered when she learns the student body knows her as 'The DUFF' (Designated Ugly Fat Friend) to her prettier, more popular friends (Skyler Samuels & Bianca Santos). Now, despite the words of caution from her favorite teacher (Ken Jeong), she puts aside the potential distraction of her crush, Toby (Nick Eversman), and enlists Wesley (Robbie Amell), a slick but charming jock, to help reinvent herself. To save her senior year from turning into a total disaster, Bianca must find the confidence to overthrow the school's ruthless label maker Madison (Bella Thorne) and remind everyone that no matter what people look or act like, we are all someone's DUFF.

Box-Office: FIFTY SHADES OF GREY Plummets But Still No. 1

For a second consecutive week "Fifty Shades of Grey" ranks at the top of the weekend box-office, but the film has registered a heavy blow in the U.S. The film lost a massive 73% in domestic ticket sales compared to last weekend. Still, the overseas gross has now reached $280 million and by adding the domestic numbers, it adds up to over $400 million worldwide, which is obviously a great result for the $40 million project. Last week's "Kingsman: The Secret Service" is still in second place with a 51% drop ($17.5 million) and "The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge out of Water"  held its ground in third place with a 50% drop ($15.5 million).

This week's wide releases didn't fare too well. The comedy sequel "Hot Tub Time Machine 2" made a weak $5.8 million debut and ranked seventh, Disney's sports drama "McFarland, USA" starring Kevin Costner opened with $11.3 million in fourth place, and the high-school comedy "The DUFF" followed closely in fifth place with $11 million.

THE DUFF - 7 New Clips

Seven new clips have been released for "The DUFF". The high-school comedy opens today in theaters and there are some pretty good early reviews. The critical reception is mostly mixed, but definitely better than a lot of other movies in this genre. The film stars Mae Whitman, Robbie Amell, Bella Thorne, Bianca Santos, Skyler Samuels, Nick Eversman, Allison Janney, Romany Malco and Ken Jeong also star.

Four character posters have been released for the teen comedy "The DUFF". The film stars Mae Whitman as a high school senior who discovers that she is a DUFF (Designated Ugly Fat Friend). With the help of Wesley (Robbie Amell), a slick but charming jock, she aims to reinvent herself and get rid of the nasty label. Bella Thorne, Bianca Santos, Skyler Samuels, Nick Eversman, Allison Janney, Romany Malco and Ken Jeong also star.

"The DUFF" opens in theaters on February 20th.

THE DUFF Trailer and Poster: Mae Whitman Stars as Designated Ugly Fat Friend

The first trailer and poster for the high-school comedy "The DUFF" have been released. Mae Whitman stars as a high school senior who discovers that she has the infamous reputation of being 'The DUFF' (Designated Ugly Fat Friend). She enlists the help of Wesley (Robbie Amell), a slick but charming jock, to help reinvent herself. So far the film looks like and update of "Mean Girls" and "She's All That". The high-school stereotypes are all in place but the film looks to have an easy-going charm that could shield it from heavy criticism. The cast also features Bella Thorne, Bianca Santos, Skyler Samuels, Nick Eversman, Allison Janney, Romany Malco and Ken Jeong.

"The DUFF" opens in theaters next year.
