Product Description: Surly Squirrel (Will Arnett) and the gang are back, returning to Liberty Park after they are forced to leave their easy life at the nut store. "The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature" is a sequel to the 2014 animated feature "The Nut Job". The protagonist, Surly Squirrel (voiced by Will Arnett) is back and joins forces with his park friends to stop Oakton City's mayor from destroying their home to make way for a dysfunctional amusement park.

Directed by Cal Brunker ("Escape from Planet Earth"), the film also features the voices of Katherine Heigl, Maya Rudolph, Jackie Chan, Bobby Moynihan, Bobby Cannavale, Isabela Moner, Jeff Dunham, Peter Stormare and Gabriel Iglesias.

"The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature" opened in theaters on August 11th, 2017 and was universally panned by critics. It also failed to make an impression at the box-office, opening with $8.3 million, a severe drop from the $25.7 million grossed by the first film in its opening weekend.

Box-Office Report: ANNABELLE Sequel Tops Charts During Slow Weekend

As the box-office continues its decline in what pundits are calling the fourth lowest weekend of 2017, the horror sequel "Annabelle: Creation" scared people into theaters and the competition away from the top spot. Meanwhile, "The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature" is setting negative records in its opening weekend.

This week in theaters we have the horror sequel "Annabelle: Creation", which provided a genuine surprise because it's actually pretty good, the biopic "The Glass Castle" starring Oscar winner Brie Larson, and the animated sequel "The Nut Job 2: Nutty By Nature". In limited release, an interesting pick is the dramedy "Ingrid Goes West" starring Aubrey Plaza and Elizabeth Olsen.
