"The Shrink Next Door" is a psychological drama miniseries created by Georgia Pritchett based on the podcast of the same title by Joe Nocera. The cast features Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Kathryn Hahn, Casey Wilson and Cornell Womack. The limited series premiered on November 12, 2021 on Apple TV+.

Today we have new trailers for:

• The thriller Zeros and Ones" from acclaimed indie filmmaker Abel Ferrara ("Bad Lieutenant", "King of New York"). The film stars Ethan Hawke, Valerio Mastandrea and Cristina Chiriac.
• The romantic sci-fi drama "Needle in a Timestack" written and directed by John Ridley ("12 Years a Slave"). The cast features Leslie Odom Jr., Cynthia Erivo, Freida Pinto and Orlando Bloom.
• The Apple TV limited series "The Shrink Next Door" starring Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd.
• Apple TV's new murder-mystery comedy series "The Afterparty" from producer/writer/director Christopher Miller ("21 Jump Street"). The cast includes Tiffany Haddish, Ben Schwartz, Sam Richardson, Dave Franco, Ike Barinholtz and Ilana Glazer.
• The third season of Netflix's crime drama series "Narcos: Mexico".
• The Netflix miniseries "The Unlikely Murderer" inspired by true events concerning the 1986 assassination of Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme.

• The second season of the hit sports comedy series "Ted Lasso" starring Jason Sudeikis.
• HBO's dark comedy mini-series "The White Lotus" starring Murray Barlett, Connie Britton, Jennifer Coolidge, Alexandra Daddario, Fred Hechinger, and Jake Lacy.
• The Hulu murder-mystery comedy series "Only Murders in the Building" starring Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez.
• Apple TV's true story miniseries "The Shrink Next Door" starring Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd. The series is inspired by the story of Isaac "Ike" Herschkopf, a real-life New York psychiatrist who violated his professional code of ethics by exploiting his clients for personal gain.
• The third season of the superhero series "Titans" which will premiere on Thursday, August 12th on the streaming platform HBO Max. Subsequent episodes will stream weekly every Thursday through October 21st.
• The British miniseries "The Pursuit of Love" based on Nancy Mitford's classic 1945 novel of the same name. The series stars Lily James, Emily Beecham, Andrew Scott, Dominic West, and Emily Mortimer.
• The new Disney Plus original series "Turner & Hooch" based on the 1989 comedy of the same name that starred Tom Hanks.

Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd to Star in THE SHRINK NEXT DOOR TV Series

Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd are set to star in and executive produce the new limited series "The Shrink Next Door", which is based on the 2019 Wondery and Bloomberg Media podcast of the same name. Michael Showalter ("Wet Hot American Summer") is set to direct and executive produce alongside writer Georgia Pritchett ("Succession").

Inspired by true events, the dark comedy will follow the bizarre relationship between psychiatrist to the stars Dr. Isaac "Ike" Herschkopf (Rudd) and his longtime patient Martin "Marty" Markowitz (Ferrell). Over the course of their relationship, Ike slowly takes over Marty’s life, even moving into Marty’s home and taking over his family business. The series explores how a seemingly normal doctor-patient dynamic morphs into an unprecedentedly exploitative one filled with manipulation, power grabs, and dysfunction at its finest.

The series will also be executive produced by Jessica Elbaum, Brittney Segal, Jordana Mollick, Hernan Lopez, Marshall Lewy, Joe Nocera, and Francesca Levy.

This will be Ferrell and Rudd's first collaboration since "Anchorman 2" in 2013. The series is in development at Media Rights Capital (MRC) Television with no network or streaming service currently attached.

Ferrell can next be seen in the Netflix comedy "Eurovision" opposite Rachel McAdams, which will be released in May. As for Rudd, he can be seen this year in Sony's reboot "Ghostbusters: Afterlife", which opens in July.
