John Wick Keanu Reeves
Some new updates regarding the action sequel "John Wick 2" have started to appear around the Internet. To be more exact, we have new intel regarding the film's title and release date. The updates aren't completely official since they've been announced by box-office news site Exhibitor Relations, but they probably got it from some reliable source.

The sequel's title will be "John Wick: Chapter Two" and it will be released in theaters on February 10th, 2017. Furthermore, the setting for Wick's latest violent rampage will be Rome. This also probably means that the film won't dig that deep into the universe of New York's finest hotel for assassins, as was initially reported. Or, at least not exclusively.

The cast features Keanu Reeves, John Leguizamo, Ian McShane, Bridget Moynahan, Lance Reddick, Ruby Rose, Laurence Fishburne, Peter Stormare and Common. The original film's co-director Chad Stahelski will helm this one solo from a script by Derek Kolstad, who also penned the first chapter.

You're probably thinking, what new title could they possibly come up with ? Isn't "Rise of the Apes" catchy enough ? Doesn't it appropriately represent what this movie is all about ? Well, apparently not, because Fox has just changed that title with the less catchy and longer "Rise of the Planet of the Apes". Because, obviously, nobody would acknowledge that this is a "Planet of the Apes" movie, without squeezing the whole trademark phrase in there. Fox really thinks very highly of us mortal people. But I think there's more to their constant tinkering with this movie. I think they think it's a stinker. They've been fiddling with release dates and title changes for some time now and we still haven't seen any promotional material, like a teaser, or a decent poster. Just some photos of Andy Serkis is his motion-capture jumpsuit. Perhaps they are desperately trying to salvage this movie in anyway they can. We'll see just how bad it really is.
