WEDNESDAY Season 2 Trailers, Clip, Featurettes, Images and Posters

The second season of "Wednesday" has premiered on August 6, 2025 on Netflix. The series has already been renewed for a third season. Created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, the show stars Jenna Ortega, Hunter Doohan, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Georgie Farmer, Victor Dorobantu, Moosa Mostafa, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Oliver Watson, Christina Ricci, Luis Guzman and Catherine Zeta Jones. The new season adds Gwendoline Christie, Steve Buscemi, Riki Lindhome and Percy Hynes White to the cast.

Thandiwe Newton Joins WEDNESDAY Season 2

Emmy-nominated "Westworld" actress Thandiwe Newton has joined the cast of Netflix's hit series "Wednesday", which is gearing up for a second season. As usual, character details are being kept under wraps. She is the latest cast member to be revealed, following the announcement that Steve Buscemi will appear in the new season.

Not much is known about the second season apart from the fact thet Jenna Ortega will reprise the role of the titular Addams Family character. The first season ended with Wednesday successfully solving a series of grisly murders while also thwarting an attempt to destroy Nevermore Academy and its students.

Production on the new season is expected to begin in late April in Ireland. Alfred Gough and Miles Millar created "Wednesday" and also serve as co-showrunners and executive producers. Tim Burton directed the first four episodes of Season 1 and is also an executive producer on the series.

Steve Buscemi Joins Cast of WEDNESDAY Season 2

"Miracle Workers" and "Boardwalk Empire" star Steve Buscemi has signed on to star in the second season of Netflix's "Wednesday". Character details are being kept under waraps, but sources say that the actor will play the new principal of Nevermore Academy.

Jenna Ortega will return as the titular protagonist after in the first season she successfully solved a series of grisly murders while also thwarting an attempt to destroy Nevermore and its students. Here's what the actress had to say about the upcoming season:

"We're definitely leaning into a little bit more horror. It's really, really exciting because, all throughout the show, while Wednesday does need a little bit of an arc, she never really changes and that's the wonderful thing about her. There are really, really good one-liners, and I think everything's bigger. It's a lot more action-packed. Each episode will probably feel a little bit more like a movie, which is nice."

Alfred Gough and Miles Millar created the show and also serve as co-showrunners and executive producers. Tim Burton directed the first four episodes of Seaosn 1 and now serves as executive producer.
