"Wicked Part One" is a fantasy musical directed by Jon M. Chu ("Crazy Rich Asians", "In the Heights") from a script by Winnie Holzman and Dana Fox based on the stage musical of the same name by Stephen Schwartz and Holzman, which in turn was loosely based on the 1995 novel by Gregory Maguire. The cast includes Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang, Marissa Bode, Peter Dinklage, Michelle Yeoh and Jeff Goldblum. Part One opened in theaters on November 22, 2024, while "Wicked: Part Two" will be released on November 21, 2025.
