The period drama "Alias Grace" is a six-part miniseries based on the 1996 novel of the same name written by Margaret Atwood. The series is directed by Mary Harron ("American Psycho") from a script written by Sarah Polley ("Take This Waltz") and it tells the true story of Grace Marks (Sarah Gadon), an Irish immigrant servant in Canada, who was (perhaps wrongly) convicted in 1843 of murdering her employer (Paul Gross) and the housekeeper (Anna Paquin) with the help of a stable hand (Kerr Logan).
The cast also includes Zacahary Levi, David Cronenberg, Edward Holcroft and Rebecca Liddiard.
"Alias Grace" premiered on November 3rd, 2017 via Netflix and received mostly positive reviews from critics.
