"Late Shift" ("Heldin") is a drama written and directed by Petra Biondina Volpe ("The Divine Order", "Dreamland") based on the book "Unser Beruf ist nicht das Problem: Es sind die Umstände" by Madeline Calvelage. The film stars Leonie Benesch as a dedicated nurse who tirelessly serves in an understaffed hospital ward, when one day her shift becomes a tense and urgent race against the clock. The cast also includes Sonja Riesen, Selma Aldin, Alireza Bayram and Ali Kandas.

"Late Shift" premiered at the 2025 Berlin International Film Festival in the Berlinale Special Gala section. It was released in theaters in Switzerland on February 27, 2026. It made the December shortlist for the 2026 Best International Feature Film Academy Award, but failed to secure a nomination. In the US it was released in select theaters on March 20, 2026, and on April 21st it was released via streaming.
