"Mabel" is a coming-of-age drama directed by Nicholas Ma and co-written by Ma and Joy Goodwin. The film stars newcomer Lexi Perkel as Callie, a young girl whose best friend is a plant named Mabel, but as Callie's obsession grows, she is put at odds with her mother and jeopardizes her first chance at a real friendship. The cast also includes Christine Ko, Lena Josephine Marano, Quincy Dunn-Baker and Judy Greer. The film was released in select theaters on April 17, 2026, and via streaming on April 21st.
