"Summerwater" is a new six-part British drama series written by screenwriter John Donnelly ("The Assessment", "Pierre"), directed by BAFTA Scotland winning Robert McKillop ("Ludwig", "Guilt", "Then You Run") and developed by Glasgow-based indie Freedom Scripted Entertainment. The cast includes Dougray Scott, Shirley Henderson, Valene Kane, Arnas Fedaravičius, Anna Próchniak and Daniel Rigby. The show premiered on Channel 4 in the UK on November 16, 2025, and in the US on May 25, 2026 via Acorn TV.

Weaving together the lives of several families, as they are observed closely from their disparate cabins, Summerwater shows how the simmering tensions between holidaymakers leads to a devastating climax."
