"Red River" is a new anime series based on the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Chie Shinohara, which was serialized in Shogakukan's Shojo Comic magazine from January 1995 to June 2002. Its chapters were collected into 28 published tankobon volumes, and it was reported in 2019 that the series had over 20 million copies in circulation.

The anime is directed by Kosuke Kobayashi ("The Master of Ragnarök & Blesser of Einher") at studio Tatsunoko Production, with series composition by Yoriko Tomita ("The Elusive Samurai"), character designs by Kenji Fujisaki ("Blood Lad") and music by Yoshihisa Hirano ("Ouran High School Host Club", "Hunter x Hunter").

The opening theme song is "Akatsuki no Sora" ("Dawn Sky"), performed by Hiroki Nanami, while the ending theme song is "Reunion", performed by Miisha Shimizu. The voice cast includes Mirai Tachibana, Wataru Katoh, Aya Uchida, Kōji Yusa, Kohsuke Toriumi and Shōya Chiba.

"Red River" premiered on July 7, 2026 and streams on Crunchyroll.
