Product Description: Fenne Lily’s fourth album is marked by points of great personal transition: Shortly after the English singer-songwriter moved from the UK to New York City, she experienced the end of a long-distance relationship and wrote the resulting 10 songs in the breakup’s fresh aftermath.
Ironically, Win Win is Lily’s breeziest-sounding record yet, a natural evolution from the chamber pop of 2023’s Big Picture that ripples with plucked banjos and Lily’s dusky vocals. The album was partially recorded in New York’s Hudson Valley scene, and there’s certainly a rustic quality to songs like “Sleeping” and opening track “Uh Huh,” which shares some melodic DNA with kindred spirit and former labelmate Phoebe Bridgers.
