The Court Jester 1956 New On Bluray

Product Description: When medieval England was ruled by a usurper king, timid minstrel Hubert Hawkins (Danny Kaye) found himself conscripted by a rebel band protecting the throne's true infant heir-and thrust into comically dangerous intrigues when he was sent to infiltrate the palace in the guise of the crown's newly hired fool. Colorful Kaye costume vehicle marked by the "vessel with the pestle-chalice from the palace" and other classic bits co-stars Glynis Johns, Angela Lansbury, Basil Rathbone, Mildred Natwick.

Heavens Above 1963 New On Bluray Peter Sellers

Product Description: Peter Sellers gives one of his most memorable performances in Heavens Above! (1963). He stars as Reverend John Smallwood, an idealistic prison chaplain who is accidentally assigned to a wealthy parish who frowns upon his progressive ideas, like his insistence on ministering to the poor. His actions start offending not only the townspeople but the religious hierarchy and even the government itself. Can the Church of England silence their most compassionate cleric or will the vicar escape to serve the highest calling of all? It’s another uproarious farce from producers/directors John and Roy Boulting (It’s All Right Jack), and features a brilliant supporting cast including Brock Peters (To Kill a Mockingbird), Isabel Jeans (Gigi), and Cecil Parker (The Ladykillers).

The Ladykillers 1955 New On Bluray 4k

Product Description: In this gangster comedy to end all gangster comedies, the inimitable Alec Guinness (Kind Hearts and Coronets, The Lavender Hill Mob) is Professor Marcus, ostensibly a musician and academic, who rents a London flat from a sweet old lady (BAFTA-winning Katie Johnson). He tells her that, from time to time, several other musicians will visit in order to rehearse. In truth, the professor can’t play a note, nor can his visitors: he’s a criminal mastermind, holding court over his gang of thieves, including the likes of punkish Harry (the first major film role for Peter Sellers, The Pink Panther), the homicidal Louis (Herbert Lom, A Shot in the Dark), veteran criminal Claude (Cecil Parker, The Man in the White Suit) and punch-drunk One-Round (Danny Green, The 7th Voyage of Sinbad). The gang use Professor Marcus’s flat as headquarters as they conceive a daring 60,000-pound robbery in this killingly funny Ealing Studios classic directed by Alexander Mackendrick (Sweet Smell of Success) from a BAFTA-winning, Oscar-nominated script by William Rose (The Russians Are Coming the Russians Are Coming). Co-Starring Jack Warner (It Always Rains on Sunday, The Quatermass Xperiment).

Can a young idealist trapped between big business and mad unions find safety in science, or will the future of Britain become unraveled by one extraordinary suit? Directed by Alexander Mackendrick (The Lady-killers, Sweet Smell of Success), The Man in the White Suit received an Oscar nomination for Best Screenplay by Mackendrick, Roger MacDougall (A Touch of Larceny) and John Dighton (Roman Holiday).
