cold-pursuit-2019-new-on-dvd-and-blu-ray

Product Description: Welcome to Kehoe, it’s -10 degrees and counting at this glitzy ski resort in the Rocky Mountains. The local police aren’t used to much action until the son of unassuming town snowplough driver, Nels Coxman (Liam Neeson), is murdered at the order of Viking (Tom Bateman), a flamboyant drug lord. Fueled by rage and armed with heavy machinery, Nels sets out to dismantle the cartel one man at a time, but his understanding of murder comes mainly from what he read in a crime novel. As the bodies pile up, his actions ignite a turf war between Viking and his long-standing rival White Bull (Tom Jackson), a soulful Native-American mafia boss, that will quickly escalate and turn the small town’s bright white slopes blood-red.

weekend-box-office-lego-movie-2

Everyone was expecting "The LEGO Movie 2" would make the difference at the box-office over the weekend, but while the film succeeded in topping the charts, it actually came in much lower than estimated. However, fellow new releases, "What Men Want" and "Cold Pursuit" performed better than expected and evened things out a bit.

The animated sequel "The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part" is now in theaters and will probably lead the weekend box-office. The film has already brought in $2.1 million from Thursday night previews, which puts it on track for a $50+ million debut.

Liam Neeson is back in full vigilante mode for the darkly comic thriller "Cold Pursuit", a remake of the 2014 Norwegian film "In Order of Disappearance". Both films are directed by Hans Petter Moland. The U.S. version also stars Tom Bateman, Laura Dern, William Forsythe and Emmy Rossum.

If you're looking for something a bit scarier, you could give "The Prodigy" a try. The film is a supernatural possession horror directed by Nicholas McCarthy, who is known for some less impressive horror flicks like "The Pact" and "At the Devil's Door", and it stars Taylor Schilling ("Orange is the New Black") and Jackson Robert Scott ("It").

The last of the new wide releases is the comedy remake "What Men Want", which is based on the 2000 film "What Women Want" starring Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt. The new version is directed by Adam Shankman ("Bringing Down the House"), and it stars Taraji P. Henson and Tracy Morgan.
