THE GHOST IN THE SHELL (2026) Anime Series Trailers, Clips, Images and Posters

"The Ghost in the Shell" is a new cyberpunk anime series based on Shirow Masamune's 1989–1991 manga of the same name. The manga has been previously adapted into the iconic 1995 anime film "Ghost in the Shell" and its 2004 sequel "Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence", a 2002 TV series titled "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex" and its 2020 follow-up "Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045", and a live-action film released in 2017 that starred Scarlett Johansson.

The anime is produced by Science Saru, Bandai Namco Filmworks, Kodansha, and Production I. Moko-chan directes, with series composition and episode scripts by EnJoe Toh, character designs and chief animation direction by Shuhei Handa, and Taisei Iwasaki, Ryo Konishi, and Yuki Kanesaka composing the music.

The opening theme song is "Go Ghost", performed by King Gnu, while the ending theme song is "Blue", performed by Millennium Parade featuring Saya Gray and Daniel Caesar. The voice cast includes Maaya Sakamoto, Kazuhiro Yamaji, Hiroki Yasumoto, Yuichi Nakamura, Tomoko Kaneda and Kosuke Goto.

"The Ghost in the Shell" premiered on July 7, 2027 and streams on Amazon Prime Video.

Callum Turner to Star in Apple's NEUROMANCER Sci-Fi Series

"Masters of the Air" and "The Boys in the Boat" star Callum Turner has signed on to star in Apple TV's upcoming sci-fi series "Neuromancer" based on William Gibson's debut cyberpunk novel of the same name. The book earned Gibson a Nebula Award, the Philip K. Dick Award, and the Hugo Award. It served as the first book in the Sprawl trilogy and was followed by "Count Zero" and "Mona Lisa Overdrive".

The 10-episode series hails from co-creators Graham Roland ("Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan) and JD Dillard ("The Outsider"). The story follows a damaged, top-rung super-hacker named Case (Turner) who is thrust into a web of digital espionage and high stakes crime with his partner Molly, a razor-girl assassin with mirrored eyes, aiming to pull a heist on a corporate dynasty with untold secrets.

The series will be a co-production between Skydance Television, Anonymous Content and Apple Studios. It will also be produced by Drake's DreamCrew Entertainment, with Roland serving as showrunner and Dillard set to direct the pilot episode.

Dillard and Roland are executive producers along with Gibson, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell for Skydance Television. Drake, Adel "Future" Nur and Jason Shrier will produce for DreamCrew Entertainment.
