"Warrior" is a new martial arts action series created by
Jonathan Tropper (
"Banshee") and executive produced by
"Fast & Furious" helmer
Justin Lin.
The show is based on the writings of martial arts legend
Bruce Lee and it's set during the Tong Wars in the late 1800s as it follows a martial arts prodigy (
Andrew Koji) originating from China who immigrates to San Francisco and ends up becoming a hatchet man for the most powerful tong in Chinatown. The cast also includes
Olivia Cheng, Jason Tobin, Dianne Doan, Kieran Bew and
Dianne Doan.
"Warrior" premiered on April 5, 2019 on Cinemax.
