The second season of the sci-fi series "Sense8" premiered today in its entirety via Netflix. Created by The Wachowskis ("The Matrix") and J. Michael Straczynski ("Thor" writer), the series continues the adventures of Capheus (Toby Onwumere replacing Aml Ameen), Kala (Tina Desai), Lito (Miguel Angel Silvestre), Nomi (Jamie Clayton), Riley (Tuppence Middleton), Sun (Donna Bae), Will (Brian J. Sense8 TV series trailer and images

The first trailer and images for the Netflix series "Sense8" have been released. The show has been created by J. Michael Straczynski, Andy Wachowski and Lana Wachowski, and it focuses on a group of people around the world who are suddenly linked mentally, and must find a way to survive being hunted by those who see them as a threat to the world's order. The trailer is quite interesting and displays some of the usual Wachowski action and visuals, but hopefully none of the convoluted plotting of "Jupiter Ascending". The show stars Brian J. Smith, Tuppence Middleton, Naveen Andrews, Jamie Clayton, Miguel Angel Silvestre, Terrence Mann, Tina Desai, Doona Bae, Aml Ameen and Max Riemelt.

All 12 episodes of "Sense8" will premiere on June 5th.

Jupiter Ascending Movie Clips

Today we have five new clips for The Wachowski Siblings' wonderful sci-fi epic "Jupiter Ascending". Of course, wonderful might be an overstatement since early reviews seem to indicate that the movie is a mess, but it's no doubt an epicly wonderful mess. I would rather just remain positive until I see it, but I suppose there's not much hope left that this won't be anything but a misfire, both with critics and at the box-office. But I will probably like it anyway, because say what you will about the Wachowskis, but they don't do anything halfway. The film stars Mila Kunis, Channing Tatum, Sean Bean, Eddie Redmayne, Douglas Booth, Tuppence Middleton, James D’Arcy, Tim Pigott-Smith and Doona Bae.

"Jupiter Ascending" opens in theaters on February 6, 2015.

Jupiter Ascending Posters

Five new awesome-looking posters for "Jupiter Ascending" have been released online. Written and directed by Andy and Lana Wachowski ("The Matrix Trilogy", "Cloud Atlas"), the film is a very original-looking space opera but has had some internal issues that determined the filmmakers and studio to delay its release by seven months. Even more alarming is the fact that early word from advanced screenings is that the film is pretty bad. Still, I loved every movie the Wachowskis ever made, and I'll probably enjoy this one as well. No matter how bad the film might be, the posters are gorgeous and perfectly capture the space opera vibe with a creative comic book style. The film stars Mila Kunis, Channing Tatum, Sean Bean, Eddie Redmayne, Douglas Booth, Tuppence Middleton, James D’Arcy, Tim Pigott-Smith and Doona Bae.

"Jupiter Ascending" opens in theaters on February 6, 2015.

jupiter-ascending-2015-new-international-trailer-and-images

A new international trailer and a batch of images have been released for "Jupiter Ascending". Written and directed by Andy and Lana Wachowski, the creators of "The Matrix Trilogy" and "Cloud Atlas", the film tells the story of a Russian immigrant (Mila Kunis) who discovers she is destined to become the Queen of the Universe and a genetically engineered ex-military hunter (Channing Tatum) who must protect her. The trailer still manages to find new footage to show without being too spoilery, although it does hint at Sean Bean having a hidden agenda, possibly a villainous one. The film also stars Eddie Redmayne, Douglas Booth, Tuppence Middleton, James D’Arcy, Tim Pigott-Smith and Doona Bae.

"Jupiter Ascending" opens in theaters on February 6, 2015.

Mila Kunis Pictures"Jupiter Ascending" is the new sci-fi film directed by Lana and Andy Wachowski ("The Matrix", "Cloud Atlas") and production has begun on April 2nd. Warner Bros. decided to shine the spotlight on the Wachowskis' new film by releasing an official press release which reveals the plot, cast and crew. The film is the story of Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis), a young woman who cleans toilets for a living, until she discovers that she has a special genetic signature which makes her next in line to be the Queen of the Universe. Also starring are Channing Tatum, Eddie Redmayne, Douglas Booth, Tuppence Middleton, Doona Bae, James D’Arcy and Sean Bean. The film opens on July 25, 2014 (in 3D).

Here is the official press release which also includes the official synopsis:
"Filming is underway on Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Village Roadshow Pictures’ “Jupiter Ascending,” an original science fiction epic adventure from filmmakers Lana and Andy Wachowski. Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis star in the film, which began shooting at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden on April 2, 2013.

From the streets of Chicago to far flung galaxies whirling through space, “Jupiter Ascending” was conceived and written by the Wachowskis, who are also directing. Award-winning producer Grant Hill, with whom the writer/directors have collaborated since “The Matrix” Trilogy, is producing the film together with the Wachowskis. Roberto Malerba and Bruce Berman are serving as executive producers.

Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis) was born under a night sky, with signs predicting that she was destined for great things. Now grown, Jupiter dreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning toilets and an endless run of bad breaks. Only when Caine (Channing Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her all along – her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos.

Channing Tatum (“Magic Mike”) and Mila Kunis (“Oz the Great and Powerful”) lead an international cast that also includes Sean Bean (“The Lord of the Rings” Trilogy), Eddie Redmayne (“Les Misérables”), Douglas Booth (“LOL”), Tuppence Middleton (TV’s “The Lady Vanishes”), Doona Bae (“Cloud Atlas”), James D’Arcy (“Hitchcock”) and Tim Pigott-Smith (“Alice in Wonderland”).

Behind the scenes, “Jupiter Ascending” reunites the Wachowskis with their longstanding collaborators, who most recently worked with them on “Cloud Atlas.” They include Oscar®-winning cinematographer John Toll (“Braveheart,” “Legends of the Fall”); production designer Hugh Bateup; editor Alexander Berner; costume designer Kym Barrett; and makeup and hair designer Jeremy Woodhead. “Jupiter Ascending” will showcase the kind of cutting-edge visual effects that have become the benchmarks of the Wachowskis’ films. Dan Glass (“Batman Begins,” “Cloud Atlas”) is the film’s visual effects supervisor, a post he has occupied for the Wachowskis since “The Matrix” Trilogy. Additionally, John Gaeta, the visual effects Oscar® winner behind “The Matrix,” is contributing to the visual effects design.

The production will remain in the UK at the studios through June, at which time filming will move to Chicago for completion.

“Jupiter Ascending” will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company, and in select territories by Village Roadshow Pictures."
