The Age of Adaline Movie Clips

Five new clips have been released for the fantastical drama "The Age of Adaline" which opens today in theaters. The film is directed by Lee Toland Krieger ("Celeste & Jesse Forever") and it stars Blake Lively ("Gossip Girl") as a woman who becomes immortal after suffering a near-fatal accident in the 1930s. While the critics haven't exactly fallen in love with Adaline, the film has been getting much better reviews than I was expecting. Reviewers noted that Lively, Harrison Ford and a sharp sense of style pretty much rescue this otherwise shallow melodrama. The film also stars Michiel Huisman, Ellen Burstyn, Kathy Baker and Amanda Crew.

New The Age of Adaline Trailer and 9 Posters

A new trailer and 9 posters have been released for the romantic drama "The Age of Adaline". Directed by Lee Toland Krieger ("Celeste & Jesse Forever"), the film stars Blake Lively ("Gossip Girl") as a woman who becomes immortal after suffering a near-fatal accident in the 1930s. The posters illustrate the concept quite well, tracking the forever-29-year-old Adaline from 1925 to 2015. I'm actually surprised that they put this much thought into this series of posters and it's probably one of the smartest marketing ideas I've seen in a long time. Maybe the movie will prove to be just as smart. The film also stars Michiel Huisman, Ellen Burstyn, Kathy Baker, Amanda Crew and Harrison Ford.

"The Age of Adaline" opens in theaters on April 24th.

age-of-adaline-trailer-poster-blake-lively

The first trailer and poster for the fantasy romantic drama "The Age of Adaline" have been released. The film stars Blake Lively as the titular Adaline, a 29-year-old woman who becomes immortal after suffering a near-fatal car accident in the 1930s. After eighty years of living in secret, Adaline makes a radical decision regarding her life when she falls in love with a charismatic philanthropist (Michiel Huisman). While the film's tone is overly melodramatic and the trailer has no shortage of "epic" moments, I will admit that the visual style is quite spectacular and there are some intriguing ideas here regarding immortality. I only hope this is not one of those cases of "style over substance". The film also stars Ellen Burstyn, Harrison Ford and Kathy Baker.

"The Age of Adaline" opens in theaters on April 24, 2015.
