DRAGON BALL SUPER: BROLY Trailers, Images and Poster

Directed by Tatsuya Nagamine from a script by Akira Toriyama, "Dragon Ball Super: Broly" is the twentieth installment in the Japanese anime "Dragon Ball" series. It's also the first to carry the "Dragon Ball Super" branding, and the third film supervised personally by creator Toriyama.

The film is set after the devastation of Planet Vegeta, as Broly, a surviving Saiyan warrior with unbelievable power is seeking revenge. The Japanese voice cast includes Masako Nozawa, Ryo Horikawa, Bin Shimada, Ryusei Nakao and Masako Nozawa. English voice cast features Sean Schemmel, Christopher Sabat, Vic Mignogna, Christopher Ayres and Sonny Strait.

"Dragon Ball Super: Broly" opened in theaters on November 14, 2018 in Japan, and on January 16, 2019 in the U.S. The film has received mostly positive reviews from critics, and scored an impressive $21.9 million debut in its first five days in the U.S.

Weekend Box-Office: GLASS Scores $40.5M Debut While DRAGON BALL Places in Top 5

M. Night Shyamalan's "Glass" topped the charts but ended up with less than expected in its opening weekend. Meanwhile "Dragon Ball Super: Broly" provided the weekend's biggest surprise.

In Theaters: GLASS, DRAGON BALL SUPER - BROLY, ADULT LIFE SKILLS and THE STANDOFF AT SPARROW CREEK

The only new wide release hitting theaters this week is M. Night Shyamalan's "Glass", the final chapter in the filmmaker's surprise "Unbreakable" trilogy. The film has received mostly mixed reviews from critics but an enthusiastic reception from moviegoers, becoming another one of those divisive films that critics hate and audiences love. It's also poised to make a killing at the box-office with pundits expecting a debut between $40 and $50 million. It has already delivered a solid $3.7 million from Thursday night previews.

Another interesting release is the animated film "Dragon Ball Super: Broly", which opened as a special event on Wednesday and brought in $7 million in just one day. The film will be available in limited release for the rest of the holiday weekend. The reception from both critics and audiences has been positive.

Other limited releases include the British dramedy "Adult Life Skills" starring Jodie Whittaker, and the thriller "The Standoff at Sparrow Creek" starring James Badge Dale.
