"Hokum" is a supernatural horror film written and directed by Damian McCarthy ("Oddity", "Caveat"). The film stars Adam Scott as a horror writer who visits an Irish inn to scatter his parents' ashes, unaware the property is said to be haunted by a witch. The cast also includes Peter Coonan, David Wilmot, Florence Ordesh, Michael Patric, Will O'Connell, Brendan Conroy and Austin Amelio. The film premiered at the 2026 South by Southwest Film & TV Festival and was released in theaters on May 1, 2026.
