Weekend Box Office: DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2 Dominates With $76.7 Million Debut

"The Devil Wears Prada 2" stormed the box office over the weekend, taking down last week's #1 film "Michael", which is still going strong alongside "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie" and "Project Hail Mary", effectively shutting out any other new releases from the top spots. The newly released horror film "Hokum" was the only new semi-wide release to perform well enough, while Angel Studios' "Animal Farm" and Renny Harlin's "Deep Water" tanked.

HOKUM (2026) - Trailers, Clip, Images and Posters

"Hokum" is a supernatural horror film written and directed by Damian McCarthy ("Oddity", "Caveat"). The film stars Adam Scott as a horror writer who visits an Irish inn to scatter his parents' ashes, unaware the property is said to be haunted by a witch. The cast also includes Peter Coonan, David Wilmot, Florence Ordesh, Michael Patric, Will O'Connell, Brendan Conroy and Austin Amelio. The film premiered at the 2026 South by Southwest Film & TV Festival and was released in theaters on May 1, 2026.

• The horror action comedy "They Will Kill You" starring Zazie Beetz, Tom Felton, Heather Graham, Myha’la and Patricia Arquette. • The post-apocalyptic survival thriller "Greenland 2: Migration" starring Gerard Butler and Morena Baccarin. The sequel is once again directed by Ric Roman Waugh.
• Luc Besson's "Dracula" starring Caleb Landry Jones, Matilda De Angelis and Christoph Waltz.
• The action thriller "Normal" starring Bob Odenkirk. The film is directed by Ben Wheatley ("Meg 2", "High-Rise"). The cast also includes Henry Winkler, Lena Headey, Brendan Fletcher, Peter Shinkoda, Jess McLeod, Ryan Allen and Billy MacLellan.
