"Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" opens today in theaters, so here are four new clips and three behind-the-scenes featurettes. Wes Ball's sequel has earned mostly mixed reviews, but it's regarded as an overall improvement on the first film, especially in the action department. The cast features Dylan O'Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Ki Hong Lee, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Aidan Gillen, Giancarlo Esposito, Rosa Salazar, Lili Taylor, Barry Pepper, Jenny Gabrielle and Patricia Clarkson.

Six new character posters for Wes Ball's sequel "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" have been released. The next chapter in the "Maze Runner" saga finds Thomas (Dylan O'Brien) and the Gladers trying to make sense of a post-apocalyptic landscape known as the Scorch where they must discover the truth about a mysterious and powerful organization known as WCKD. The film also stars Kaya Scodelario, Ki Hong Lee, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Aidan Gillen, Giancarlo Esposito, Rosa Salazar, Lili Taylor, Barry Pepper, Jenny Gabrielle and Patricia Clarkson.

The story this time takes Thomas and the Gladers into a post-apocalyptic landscape known as the Scorch where they must discover the truth about a mysterious and powerful organization known as WCKD. The sequel is directed once again by Wes Ball and it stars Dylan O'Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Ki Hong Lee, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Aidan Gillen, Giancarlo Esposito, Rosa Salazar, Lili Taylor, Barry Pepper, Jenny Gabrielle and Patricia Clarkson.

First MAZE RUNNER: THE SCORCH TRIALS Images

The first images from the upcoming sequel "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" have been released. Last year's "The Maze Runner" proved to be quite a hit, grossing $340 million worldwide versus a $34 million budget. Even I thought it was a pretty good young adult adaptation (based on James Dashner's novels), and I'm not a huge fan of the recent films in this particular genre. Now we have our first images featuring the cast and their new adventures in the sequel, which takes Thomas and the Gladers into a post-apocalyptic world filled with unimaginable obstacles. Producer Wyck Godfrey gives us an idea of what to expect:

"The first movie was the mystery of ‘Where are we and what is this place? And can we get out?’ But the second movie is about the repercussions of getting out and the discovery of what the world is actually like."

Wes Ball returns to direct and the cast features Dylan O'Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Ki Hong Lee, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Aidan Gillen, Giancarlo Esposito, Rosa Salazar, Lili Taylor, Barry Pepper, Jenny Gabrielle and Patricia Clarkson.

Character posters are one thing that "The Maze Runner" has no shortage of. So, today we have another batch of five new posters featuring Dylan O'Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Will Poulter, Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Ki Hong Lee, as well as a new one-sheet for the film. The cast of this adaptation based on James Dashner's novel also features Chris Sheffield, Blake Cooper, Dexter Darden and Patricia Clarkson.

The film is based on the young-adult novel by James Dashner, which centers around teen Thomas (Dylan O’Brien), who awakens in a rusty elevator with no memory of who he is. What he does come to find out is that he’s been delivered to the middle of an intricate maze, along with a slew of other boys, who have been trying to find their way out of the ever-changing labyrinth — all the while establishing a functioning society within the enclosure they’ve come to call "The Glade". Will Poulter, Kaya Scodelario, Aml Ameen, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Ki Hong Lee and Patricia Clarkson also star.
