[REC] 4: APOCALYPSE Clip and Character Videos

A new clip and two character videos have been released for the horror sequel "[REC] 4: Apocalypse". Jaume Balagueró's new installment in the franchise returns to the story of television reporter Ángela (Manuela Velasco) who is rescued from the building where she survived the virus outbreak and taken to a high-security quarantine facility where the the mysterious demonic virus once again begins to spread and wreak havoc. The film also stars María Alfonsa Rosso, Héctor Colomé, Paco Manzanedo and Mariano Venancio.

"[REC] 4: Apocalypse" has begun a limited run in theaters in the U.S. today.

New [REC] 4: APOCALYPSE Trailer and Posters

Today we have a new official trailer and three posters for the horror sequel "[REC] 4: Apocalypse". Directed by Jaume Balagueró, the film once again follows the story of television reporter Ángela (Manuela Velasco) who is rescued from the building where she survived the virus outbreak in the first film. She is taken to a high-security quarantine facility built on an oil tanker to be examined. However, Ángela carries the seed of the mysterious demonic virus and distrust quickly spreads through the isolated facility. The cast also features María Alfonsa Rosso, Héctor Colomé, Paco Manzanedo and Mariano Venancio.

"[REC] 4: Apocalypse" opens in theaters on October 31st in Spain, but it will also premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.

Teaser Trailer and Poster for [REC] 4: APOCALYPSE

The first teaser trailer and poster for the Spanish horror "[REC] 4: Apocalypse" have been released. For now the teaser trailer only recaps the events of the first REC film, because this fourth installment will continue the story of television reporter Angela Vidal from the original, who survived the evil infestation and is now taken to a high-security quarantine facility, which according to the synopsis will be an old oil tanker, miles off shore and surrounded by water on all sides. I'm not a fan of this franchise, although I enjoyed the first two films. I thought part 3, "Genesis", was awful, so a return to the original storyline could be the right thing to do for this franchise. The release date has not been announced, but it's expected to be released in 2014.
