Writers Guild 2020 Nominations: JOKER, PARASITE, 1917, IRISHMAN, KNIVES OUT and More (Complete List)

The nominations for the WGA's 2020 Writers Guild Awards have been announced. The nominees in the feature categories include "1917", "Joker", "The Irishman", "Knives Out", "Booksmart", "Parasite", "Marriage Story", A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood" and "Jojo Rabbit". Among the snubbed we find Quentin Tarantino ("Once Upon a Time in Hollywood"), who is not eligible for the WGA because he is not a member of the guild, and Lulu Wang's "The Farewell", which was also not produced under jurisdiction of WGA or an affiliate guild.

In the television categories the shows nominated this year include "The Crown, The Handmaid's Tale", "Mindhunter", "Succession", "Watchmen", "Veep", "Barry", "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel", "PEN15", and "Russian Doll".

MINDHUNTER Season 2 Trailers, Images and Poster

The second season of the crime thriller series "Mindhunter" has premiered on August 16, 2019 via Netflix. Created by "The Road" scribe Joen Penhall based on the non-fiction book "Mindhunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit" by John Douglas and Mark Olshaker, the series is set in the 1970s during the early days of criminal psychology and criminal profiling at the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The second season takes place a few years later in 1980 and centers on the Atlanta murders of 1979–81. Charles Manson (Damon Herriman) and David Berkowitz aka Son of Sam will also make an appearance. The series stars Jonathan Groff, Holt McCallany, Anna Torv, Joe Tuttle and Cotter Smith. Oscar-nominated filmmaker David Fincher ("Zodiac", "Se7en") and Charlize Theron serve as executive producers.

Today we have new trailers for:

• The third season of Netflix's teen mystery drama series "13 Reasons Why". Executive-produced and developed by acclaimed playwright Brian Yorkey and based on the best-selling YA novel of the same name by Jay Asher, the show stars Dylan Minnette, Justin Prentice, Brandon Flynn, Alisha Boe and Christian Navarro.
• The second season of DC Universe's streaming series "Titans". Executive produced by Akiva Goldsman alongside comic book writer Geoff Johns and "Arrow" producer Greg Berlanti, the show stars Brenton Thwaites, Teagan Croft, Anna Diop, Ryan Potter, Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly.
• The second season of Showtime's dramedy series "Kidding" starring Jim Carrey and Judy Greer. The show is executive produced by Michel Gondry ("Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind").
• The second season of the critically acclaimed Netflix series "Mindhunter", produced by David Fincher.
• Netflix's new Spanish-language mystery thriller limited series "Green Frontier" from acclaimed Colombian filmmaker Ciro Guerra, the writer-director of the 2015 Oscar-nominated foreign film "Embrace of the Serpent".
• Paramount Network's documentary "I Am Patrick Swayze", which is described as a "loving tribute to the prolific actor that showcases his life and career through untold stories, exclusive interviews, heartfelt home movies, and family photos featuring those who knew him best."

TV Trailers: AMERICAN HORROR STORY - 1984, MODERN LOVE, MINDHUNTER Season 2 and More

Today we have new trailers for:

• The new season of FX's "American Horror Story". Subtitled "1984", the new season will star Emma Roberts, Billy Lourd, John Carroll Lynch, Leslie Grossman, Cody Fern, Matthew Morrison and Angelica Ross. Series regulars Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson will not be returning this season.
• Amazon's new anthology series "Modern Love" starring Anne Hathaway, Tina Fey, Julia Garner, Dev Patel, John Slattery, Cristin Milioti, Caitlin McGee, Brandon Victor Dixon, Catherine Keener, Andy Garcia, Olivia Cooke and more. The majority of episodes are written and directed by musician/filmmaker John Carney ("Sing Street"). Emmy Rossum ("Shameless") and Sharon Horgan ("Catastrophe") will each direct an episode.
• The second season of Netflix's critically acclaimed serial killer series "Mindhunter" executive produced by David Fincher and Charlize Theron. The new season chronicles the events surrounding the gruesome case of the Atlanta Child Murders, between 1979 and 1981.
• The Victorian fantasy series "Carnival Row" created and executive produced by Rene Echevarria ("The 4400") and Travis Beacham (screenwriter of "Pacific Rim"). The show stars Orlando Bloom, Cara Delevingne, Jared Harris, Indira Varma, Tamzin Merchant, Alice Krige and Simon McBurney.
• Amazon's new rotoscoped animated series "Undone" starring Rosa Salazar, Bob Odenkirk, Daveed Diggs, Siddharth Dhananjay and Constance Marie.
• The Netflix limited series "Frontera Verde" from acclaimed Colombian filmmaker Ciro Guerra, the writer-director of the 2015 Oscar-nominated foreign film "Embrace of the Serpent".

MINDHUNTER Series Trailers, Interviews, Images and Poster

"Mindhunter" is a new crime drama series created by Joe Penhall and produced by David Fincher and Charlize Theron, based on the book "Mind Hunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit" written by John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker.

The show is set in 1977 during the FBI's early days of criminal psychology and profiling, and follows two agents, played by Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany, as they conduct interviews with imprisoned serial killers in order to better understand the mind of a killer and find patterns that would help the FBI solve similar cases. Anna Torv, Hannah Gross, Sonny Valicenti and Cotter Smith also star.

"Mindhunter" was released on October 13, 2017 and is now streaming via Netflix. The show has been renewed for a second season.

Teaser Trailer for David Fincher's New Series MINDHUNTER

Netflix has released the first trailer for their upcoming series "Mindhunter". The show is based on the 1996 book Mind Hunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit written by John Douglas and Mark Olshanker, and it focuses on two FBI agents, played by Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany, who interview imprisoned serial killers to try and solve ongoing cases. Anna Torv, Cotter Smith and Hannah Gross also star.

David Fincher will serve as executive-producer. Fincher will also direct a few episodes alongside Andrew Douglas ("The Amityville Horror"), Tobias Lindholm ("A Hijacking") and Asif Kapadia ("Senna"). The series will also be executive-produced by Joshua Donen & Cean Chaffin ("Gone Girl") and Charlize Theron.

The first season of "Mindhunter" will be released sometime in 2017.
