Weekend Box-Office: AVENGERS INFINITY WAR Crosses $1 Billion in Just 11 Days

Marvel's "Avengers: Infinity War" is still topping the charts and breaking record after record. Meanwhile, the new comedy "Overboard" delivered a surprisingly strong debut, while "Tully" and "Bad Samaritan" performed poorly.

In Theaters: TULLY, OVERBOARD, BAD SAMARITAN and THE CLEANSE

This week in theaters we have the dramedy "Tully" starring Charlize Theron and Mackenzie Davis, which reteams "Juno" director Jason Reitman and writer Diablo Cody.

Another new release is the comedy "Overboard" starring Anna Faris and Eugenio Derbez, a remake of the 1987 comedy of the same name that starred Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn.

And from Electric Entertainment we have the drama "Bad Samaritan" directed by Dean Devlin ("Geostorm") and starring David Tennant.

In limited release it might be worth checking out the trippy horror comedy "The Cleanse" starring Johnny Galecki, Anna Friel and Anjelica Huston.

OVERBOARD (2018) - Trailers, Clips, Featurettes, Images and Posters

The 2018 comedy "Overboard" is a remake of the 1987 film of the same name starring Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn.

Directed by Rob Greenberg ("Impastor", "How I Met Your Mother") from a screensplay written by Greenberg and Bob Fisher ("Wedding Crashers"), the remake stars Anna Faris as Kate, a working class single mom who is unjustly fired by selfish, spoiled, rich playboy Leonardo (Eugenio Derbez). When Leonardo falls overboard from his luxury yacht after a night of hard partying and develops amnesia, Kate decides to get some pabyack and convinvces him that they are married.

The film also stars Eva Longoria, Mel Rodriguez, Emily Maddison, John Hannah and Swoosie Kurtz.

"Overboard" opened in theaters on May 4, 2018 and received mostly negative reviews from critics. It is expected to gross between $10-13 million from 1,623 theaters in its opening weekend.

New Trailers: THE TITAN, OVERBOARD, THEY REMAIN and More

Today we have new trailers for the sci-fi thriller "The Titan" starring Sam Worthington, the gender-swapped comedy remake "Overboard" starring Eugenio Derbez and Anna Faris, and the psychological thriller "They Remain". Netflix has also released a new teaser for "The Cloverfield Paradox", which is now streaming online. There are also two new TV series trailers, for Starz's new Latino-themed original series "Vida", and Hulu's six-episode sci-fi series "Hard Sun".
