Weekend Box Office Dont Worry Darling

Once again, it was a less-than-spectacular weekend, but the right time for non-blockbuster releases to carve out their niche. Olivia Wilde's 1950s-set psychological thriller claimed the top spot in the absense of major releases, and the re-release of James Cameron's 2009 blockbuster "Avatar" landed in third place.

Weekend Box Office The Woman King

THe historical epic "The Woman King" came in higher than expected and dominated another quiet weekend at the box-office with no other major releases. The micro-budget horror film "Pearl", a surprise prequel to Ti West's "X", and the mystery comedy "See How They Run" made the Top 5 but with far less impressive debuts.

Pearl 2022 Trailer Clip Images And Poster

"Pearl" is a slasher horror film directed by Ti West from a script by West and Mia Goth. Subtitled "An X-traordinary Origin Story", the film is a prequel to West's "X", and an origin story for the titular villain, played once again by Goth. David Corenswet, Tandi Wright, Matthew Sunderland, Emma Jenkins-Purro and Alistair Sewell co-star. "Pearl" premiered at the 79th Venice International Film Festival, and opened in theaters on September 16, 2022.

Blonde Ana De Armas Trailer

Today we have new trailers for:
  • Netflix's fictionalized biographical drama "Blonde" starring Ana de Armas as tragic screen legend Marilyn Monroe. The film is based on the best-selling historical novel by award-winning novelist Joyce Carol.
  • The gritty superhero action thriller "Samaritan" starring Sylverster Stallone. The film is directed by Julius Avery ("Overlord").
  • Christopher Nolan's biopic "Oppenheimer". The film features an all-star ensemble cast that includes Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh, Rami Malek, Kenneth Branagh, Gary Oldman and more.
  • Netflix's stop-motion animated film "Pinocchio" directed by Guillermo del Toro and Mark Gustafson ("Fantastic Mr. Fox"). The voice cast includes Ewan McGregor, David Bradley, Gregory Mann, Finn Wolfhard, Cate Blanchett, John Turturro, Ron Perlman, Tim Blake Nelson, Burn Gorman, Christoph Waltz and Tilda Swinton.
  • Horror filmmaker Ti West's new film "Pearl" starring Mia Goth ("X").
  • The horror film "House of Darkness" written and directed by Neil LaBute ("Lakeview Terrace", "The Shape of Things" ). The cast features Justin Long, Kate Bosworth, Gia Crovatin and Lucy Walters.
