Bwana Devil 3d 1952 New On Bluray

Product Description: Beautifully remastered for the very first time in 3-D by 3-D Film Archive! The first feature-length 3-dimensional color motion picture in history, Arch Oboler’s eye-popping adventure tale Bwana Devil kickstarted the 3-D movie craze with a roar! Big-game hunters are summoned and a vicious battle between man and beast ensues—all in thrilling color and three astonishing dimensions! Filmed using Natural Vision Corporation’s groundbreaking stereoscopic system with the theory “that the 3-D cameras should see and record the scene exactly as the human eyes see it” (cinematographer Joseph F. Biroc), the legendary Bwana Devil now makes the leap from silver screen to home video, promising to put “a lion in your lap” and “a lover in your arms”!

The Scarface Mob Newon Bluray Limited Edition

Product Description: Originally conceived as a two-part TV pilot, The Scarface Mob is a gritty and thrilling dramatization of Eliot Ness’s account of his hunt for ruthless gangster Al Capone in Chicago during the prohibition. The film would go on to spawn The Untouchables, one of the most widely celebrated TV crime dramas of all time.

Chicago, 1929. Al Capone’s ruthless gang of thugs are dealing in bootleg booze in blatant defiance of Prohibition laws, and paying off corrupt cops and crooked politicians to stay out of their way. That is, until Federal Investigator Eliot Ness is tasked with bringing down Capone’s criminal empire. To aid him in this task, he assembles a crack team of men he is sure will be incorruptible, to identify and sabotage the Capone gang’s distilleries. But when Capone, Scarface himself, gets wind that his operation is under threat, he decides to take matters into his own hands.

Tautly directed by film noir veteran Phil Karlson (The Phenix City Story) and featuring memorable performances by Robert Stack (Written on the Wind) as the righteous Eliot Ness and Neville Brand (The Tin Star) as the unhinged Al Capone, The Scarface Mob is a tense crime drama waiting to be rediscovered.

New on Blu-ray: WRITTEN ON THE WIND (1956) - Criterion Collection

Product Description: The quintessential Douglas Sirk melodrama, a lurid family tragedy in luscious Technicolor Douglas Sirk’s Technicolor expressionism reached a fever pitch with this operatic tragedy, which finds the director pushing his florid visuals and his critiques of American culture to their subversive extremes.

Alcoholism, nymphomania, impotence, and deadly jealousy—these are just some of the toxins coursing through a massively wealthy, degenerate Texan oil family. When a sensible secretary (Lauren Bacall) has the misfortune of marrying the clan’s neurotic scion (Robert Stack), it drives a wedge between him and his lifelong best friend (Rock Hudson) that unleashes a maelstrom of angst and fury.

Featuring an unforgettably debauched, Oscar-winning supporting performance by Dorothy Malone and some of Sirk’s most eye-popping mise-en-scène, Written on the Wind is as perverse a family portrait as has ever been splashed across the screen.
