The Wonder 2022 Movie Trailer Clip Images Poster

"The Wonder" is a period drama directed by Sebastian Lelio ("A Fantastic Woman") from a script by Lelio, Emma Donoghue and Alice Birch ("Lady Macbeth"). The film stars Florence Pugh, Tom Burke, Elaine Cassidy, Kíla Lord Cassidy, Niamh Algar, Toby Jones and Ciarán Hinds. "The Wonder" was released on November 16, 2022 on Netflix.

Scarlett Johansson to Star in Sci-Fi Drama BRIDE For Apple and A24
Academy Award nominee Scarlett Johansson ("Marriage Story", "Black Widow") is set to star in Apple and A24's upcoming sci-fi drama "Bride" from Oscar winner Sebastian Lelio, the filmmaker behind "A Fantastic Woman" and "Gloria".

The genre-bending film follows follows a woman created to be an ideal wife — the singular obsession of a brilliant entrepreneur. When she rejects her creator, she's forced to flee her confined existence, confronting a world that sees her as a monster. While on the run, she finds her true identity, her surprising power and the strength to remake herself as her own creation.

The script will be penned by Lauren Schuker Blum & Rebecca Angelo ("Orange is the New Black") and Lelio. Johansson will produce alongside Jonathan Lia of These Pictures.

Other Apple-A24 partnerships include the Sofia Coppola film "On the Rocks" starring Bill Murray, and "The Sky is Everywhere" starring Cherry Jones and Jason Segel.

"Gloria Bell" is a drama written and directed by "A Fantastic Woman" and "Disobedience" filmmaker Sebastián Lelio, and a reimagining of Lelio's 2013 film "Gloria".

Julianne Moore stars as a free-spirited divorcée in her 50s, who spends her days at a straight-laced office job and her nights on the dance floor, joyfully letting loose at clubs around Los Angeles. The film also stars John Turturro, Michael Cera, Brad Garrett, Sean Astin, Jeanne Tripplehorn and Rita Wilson.

"Gloria Bell" premiered at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival and was released in select theaters on March 8, 2019.

The Chilean drama "A Fantastic Woman" tells the story of Marina Vidal (Daniela Vega), a young waitress and aspiring singer who is in love with Orlando (Francisco Reyes), a man 20 years older than her. When Orlando suddenly dies, Marina's life is thrown into chaos as she is confronted with Orlando's suspicious family. Marina is also a trans woman, so her sexual identity becomes a point of contention, and she is forced to battle the same forces that she has spent a lifetime fighting just to become the woman she is now - a complex, strong, forthright and fantastic woman.

Co-written and directed by Sebastián Lelio ("Gloria", "Disobedience"), the film also stars Luis Gnecco, Aline Küppenheim, Amparo Noguera, Néstor Cantillana and Nicolás Saavedra.

The film has been praised by critics for its sensitive handling of a timely subject and has been nominated for the Best Foreign Language Film Oscar in 2018. It also won the Silver Bear for Best Screenplay and the Teddy Award (an award given to LGBT themed films) at the 67th Berlin International Film Festival.

In the U.S. "A Fantastic Woman" opened in limited release on February 2, 2018.

Rachel McAdams to star alongside Rachel Weisz in Disobedience

Academy Award nominee Rachel McAdams ("Spotlight") is in talks to join the drama "Disobedience", based on the novel written by Naomi Alderman. If the deals goes through, she will star opposite Rachel Weisz.

Directed by Sebastian Lelio ("Gloria") from a script penned by Rebecca Lenkiewicz ("Ida"), the film follows Ronit Krushk (Weisz), a 32-year-old woman who returns to her Orthodox Jewish home when her estranged father dies. She then causes a scandal in the community when she rekindles a repressed love with her best friend (McAdams), a woman now married to her cousin.

Production is expected to begin early next year.
