Box-Office: SPONGEBOB MOVIE Takes Down AMERICAN SNIPER

"The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water" replaced "American Sniper" as the top movie of the week at the box-office. The animated feature opened this weekend with $56 million and took first place, but Clint Eastwood's war drama still grossed $24 million over the last three days and made a domestic total of $282 million domestically.

The Wachowskis' sci-fi epic "Jupiter Ascending" flopped, as expected. The film grossed $19 million, a small number compared to its $179 million budget. Warner Bros is now looking overseas to soften the blow somewhat. Another long-delayed flop is Legendary's "Seventh Son", a fantasy adventure that did even worse with $7 million, versus a reported budget of $95 million. The film however performed much better overseas where it grossed $86 million.

3 New SEVENTH SON Making Of Featurettes

Three new behind-the-scenes featurettes for Sergey Bodrov's fantasy adventure "Seventh Son" have been released. After being delayed for a year, the film is being thrown into the box-office fray alongside another February release with an equally troubled production, "Jupiter Ascending". Both films are about to catch a heavy beating from critics and are unlikely to attract audiences, especially not with a behemoth like "American Sniper" rounding up all the money. The film stars Jeff Bridges, Ben Barnes, Julianne Moore, Alicia Vikander, Kit Harington, Olivia Williams, Antje Traue and Djimon Hounsou.

"Seventh Son" opens in theaters on February 6, 2015.

New SEVENTH SON Trailer and Posters: Jeff Bridges and Ben Barnes Square Off Against Julianne Moore

A new trailer and two posters have been released for the long-delayed fantasy adventure "Seventh Son" from director Sergey Bodrov ("Mongol"). The film was supposed to be released last January, but it got delayed several times, until now when they seem to have settled for February 6, 2015. Let's hope that this is the final release date. Jeff Bridges stars as Master Gregory, a knight who must train a new apprentice (Ben Barnes), in order to fight the powerful witch Mother Malking (Julianne Moore). Alicia Vikander, Kit Harington, Olivia Williams, Antje Traue and Djimon Hounsou also star.

"Seventh Son" opens in theaters on February 6, 2015.

Trailer and Posters for SEVENTH SON Starring Jeff Bridges and Julianne Moore

The first trailer and four character posters for the fantasy adventure "Seventh Son" have been released. The film stars Jeff Bridges as Master Gregory, a knight who must train a new apprentice, played by Ben Barnes, in order to fight the powerful witch Mother Malking (Julianne Moore). The film is heavy on the visual effects and it's possible that it won't stand out among the dozen of CGI fantasy adventures out there, but it does have a decent cast which also features Antje Traue, Kit Harington, Djimon Hounsou and Olivia Williams. The film, which is directed by Sergey Bodrov (Foreign Film Oscar nominee for "Mongol"), opens on January 17, 2014, which is also a clue to the quality of the production and that the studio doesn't have very high hopes for it.
