The Austrian horror film
"Goodnight Mommy" begins a limited run in theaters today, and we have the official trailer, a clip, five images and three posters for the movie.
The film stars
Lukas Schwarz and
Elias Schwarz as nine-year-old twin brothers who move to a new home with their mother (
Susanne Wuest) after she has undergone cosmetic surgery. The problem is that the person under the bandages doesn't seem to be someone that the children recognize, leading to an existential struggle for identity and fundamental trust.
Written and directed by
Severin Fiala and
Veronika Franz, the film received mostly positive reviews, with one critic calling it
"One of the year's best and most psychologically disturbing horror films."
