New Trailer and Poster for the Miniseries TABOO Starring Tom Hardy

BBC One has released a new trailer and poster for the upcoming miniseries "Taboo". Co-created by Steven Knight and executive-produced by Ridley Scott, the eight-part series is set in 1814 and follows James Keziah Delaney (Tom Hardy), a man who has been to the ends of the earth and comes back irrevocably changed. Believed to be dead, James struggles to inherit what is left of his father's shipping empire and build a new life. But to accomplish that, he must also deal with hidden enemies and avoid his own death sentence.

The cast also includes Jonathan Pryce, Oona Chaplin, Stephen Graham, Michael Kelly, Jessie Buckley, David Hayman, Tom Hollander, Jason Watkins, Franka Potente, Jefferson Hall, Ed Hogg, Leo Bill, Christopher Fairbank, Richard Dixon, Mark Gatiss, Nicholas Woodeson, Lucian Msamati and Robert Parker.

"Taboo" will premiere January 10th, 2017 on FX.

TABOO Miniseries Trailer and Images

The first trailer and images for the FX mini-series "Taboo" have been released online.

Set in 1814, the series stars Tom Hardy as James Keziah Delaney, a man who returns home to London from Africa to inherit what is left of his father's shipping empire and begin anew. He soon finds himself encircled by conspiracy, murder and betrayal as a dark family mystery unfolds.

Produced by Ridley Scott ("The Martian") and Steven Knight ("Peaky Blinders"), and based on an original story by Tom Hardy and his father Chips Hardy, the series also stars Leo Bill, Oona Chaplin, Michael Kelly and Jonathan Pryce.

"Taboo" has no official premiere date.
