Weekend Box-Office: ETERNALS Holds No.1 Spot With $27.5 Million

The Marvel movie "Eternals" held the #1 spot in its second weekend at the box-office. The weekend's only wide release was Paramount's "Clifford The Big Red Dog" which performed slightly better than expected. Also, Kenneth Branagh's coming-of-age dramedy "Belfast" opened in select theaters and made it into the Top 10.

Weekend Box-Office: ETERNALS Scores $71M Domestic Debut and $91M Overseas

Despite the fact that "Eternals" clearly dominated the box-office this weekend, the MCU flick's debut is both good news and bad news for Disney and Marvel. Also, Neon's Princess Diana film "Spencer" opened in select theaters this weekend and raked in some decent numbers.

Weekend Box-Office: DUNE Holds at #1 as October Becomes Best Month at Domestic Box-Office During Pandemic

It wasn't a brilliant weekend at the box-office in terms of competition. The sci-fi epic "Dune" dominated the domestic market while Edgar Wright's "Last Night in Soho" and the Guillermo del Toro-produced horror film "Antlers" delivered disappointing debuts. This October also became the highest-grossing month of the year at the domestic box office with $638M, beating July's $583.8M.
