Weekend Box-Office: WAR ROOM Takes the Lead

Last week's faith-based drama "War Room" climbed to #1 while this week's new wide releases "A Walk in the Woods" and "The Transporter Refueled" stumbled in their opening weekend.

Box-Office: STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON Wins Third Consecutive Weekend

Despite a close call with new wide release "War Room", it was ultimately "Straight Outta Compton" who came out on top, for a third consecutive week, no less. Overall, though, the box-office was pretty weak.

In Theaters: NO ESCAPE, WE ARE YOUR FRIENDS, WAR ROOM, Z FOR ZACHARIAH

This week in theaters we have two new wide releases, the Owen Wilson action thriller "No Escape" and the DJ drama "We Are Your Friends" starring Zac Efron. Neither film was a hit with the critics. In limited release there is the faith-based drama "War Room" and the post-apocalyptic drama "Z for Zachariah" starring Margot Robbie, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Chris Pine. WAR ROOM Trailer, Clips and Poster

Today we have the official trailer, four clips and a poster for the faith-based drama "War Room" which opens today in theaters. The film follows Tony and Elizabeth Jordan (T.C. Stallings, Priscilla C. Shirer), a couple who seemingly have it all - great jobs, a beautiful daughter, their dream home. Their marriage, however, is headed for disaster, so they seek the guidance of Miss Clara (Karen Abercrombie), an older, wiser woman who challenges them to create a "War Room" and battle plan based on prayer to save their family. Co-written and directed by Alex Kendrick ("Courageous"), the film also stars Michael Jr., Beth Moore, Jadin Harris, Tenae Downing and Alena Pitts.
