New on DVD and Blu-ray: May 23, 2017

The new DVD and Blu-ray releases for the week of May 23rd, 2017 include the R-rated comic book adaptation "Logan" featuring Hugh Jackman in his last outing as Wolverine, Jordan Peele's directorial debut and highly acclaimed horror film "Get Out", Matt Damon's Chinese adventure "The Great Wall, the Oscar-nominated animated film "My Life As a Zucchini", the Palme d'Or winner "Dheepan", the all-female anthology horror film "XX" and the documentary "I Am Heath Ledger". Also out now on home video is the sixth season of the British TV series "Call the Midwife".

Some cult classics have been released on Blu-ray this week, including the Japanese films "Cops Vs Thugs" and "Wolf Guy", as well as the 3D restoration of the 1950s musical "Those Redheads From Seattle" and the six-disc limited edition "The Jacques Rivette Collection".

XX Horror Movie Trailer, Clips, Featurette, Images and Poster

The horror "XX" is a new anthology film featuring an all-female roster of helmers. The film consists of four dark stories: "The Birthday Party" written and directed by Annie Clark (St. Vincent), "Her Only Living Son" by Karyn Kusama, "Don't Fall" by Roxanne Benjamin, and "The Box" by Jovanka Vuckovic.

"XX" received a limited release in theaters on February 17, 2017.

In Theaters: THE GREAT WALL, A CURE FOR WELLNESS, FIST FIGHT, XX

This week in theaters we have "The Great Wall", the epic fantasy blockbuster shot entirely in China starring Matt Damon, the creepy R-rated mystery thriller "A Cure for Wellness" from "Pirates of the Caribbean" director Gore Verbinski, and the comedy "Fist Fight" starring Ice Cube and Charlie Day.
