DVD & Blu-Ray: JACKASS PRESENTS BAD GRANDPA (Unrated)

Product Description: 86-year-old Irving Zisman is on a journey across America with one of the most unlikely companions, his 8 year-old grandson Billy in "Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa". Irving Zisman (Johnny Knoxville) and Billy (Jackson Nicoll) will take movie audiences along for the most insane hidden camera road trip ever captured on camera. Along the way Irving will introduce the young and impressionable Billy to people, places and situations that give new meaning to the term childrearing. The duo will encounter child beauty pageant contestants (and their mothers), funeral home mourners, biker bar patrons and a whole lot of unsuspecting citizens. Real people in unreal situations, making for one really messed up comedy.

Weekend Box-Office Report: THE BEST MAN HOLIDAY, THOR: THE DARK WORLD

"Thor: The Dark World" managed to hold on at the top spot this weekend but was very closely followed by the comedy "The Best Man Holiday". The Marvel sequel pulled off $38 million over the 3-day timeframe, bringing its total cume to $146 million in the US, which is still under the first "Thor" ($181 million), but well on its way to beat the first film's gross. The Thor franchise is not one of Marvel's ultra-high earners domestically, but internationally it's doing much better. "Thor: The Dark World" has earned $332 million overseas, so far.

"The Best Man Holiday", a sequel to the 1999 comedy "The Best Man", managed to take second place with $30 million in its opening weekend versus a $17 million budget. The first film earned $34 million in its entire theatrical run, costing only $8 million to make.

The comedy "Last Vegas" and the animated feature "Free Birds" also followed each other pretty closely, but with much smaller figures, $8.8 million and $8.3 million, respectively. The R-rated comedy "Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa" rounds up the top five with $7.6 million.

Weekend Box-Office Report: BAD GRANDPA, THE COUNSELOR

This week, one movie finally managed to knock "Gravity" off from the top spot. It's not some fancy awards-bait drama, nor is it some hi-tech 3D effects extravaganza. It's Johnny Knoxville's newest comedy "Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa". The film managed an excellent $32 million ($15 million budget) and with the relatively positive reviews and audience response (7.2 on IMDb.com) it's expected that the film will continue to perform well and earn a lot of money for the Jackass star. Compared to previous "Jackass" opening weekends, "Bad Grandpa" ranks second, beneath "Jackass 3-D" ($50 million) and above "Jackass: The Movie" ($22 million) and "Jackass: Number Two" ($29 million).

At No. 2 lands "Gravity". The sci-fi thriller is still holding well, earning $20 million this weekend and the film has already reached a fantastic total of $314 million worldwide ($100 million budget) in 24 days. The same can be said of Tom Hanks' high seas thriller "Captain Phillips" which got pushed to No. 3, but still maintains a steady intake, grossing $11 million this weekend, which adds up to a total of $70 million ($55 million budget). This is Hanks' highest grossing feature film since 2009's "Angels & Demons" and it will help to propel him into the awards season, possibly towards an Academy Award nomination.

Unfortunately, Ridley Scott's crime drama "The Counselor" tanked, despite a star-studded cast and "No Country for Old Men" author Cormac McCarthy's first original screenplay. The film opened at No. 4 and only grossed $8 million. "The Counselor" was met with harsh reviews from critics, and even audiences seemed to be put off by the film's difficult tone and were probably either misled or downright confused by the film's trailers and clips. To be fair, this is one tough movie to sell.

In other news, last week's horror remake "Carrie" fell by 64% in its second weekend, landing at No. 6 and grossing a total of $26 million ($30 million budget), despite high expectations for the Halloween week. The Arnold Schwarzenegger & Sylvester Stallone team up "Escape Plan" also fell hard to No. 7, but the film has performed quite decently overseas, which brings its worldwide total to $45 million.

JACKASS PRESENTS: BAD GRANDPA - Red Band Trailer and New Clip

The first red band trailer and a new movie clip have been released for "Jackass Presents Bad Grandpa". Johnny Knoxville stars as 85-year-old Irving Zisman who goes about performing Jackass pranks along with his 8-year-old grandson Billy (Jackson Nicoll).

The film features a mix of standard movie narrative and "Borat" style hidden camera comedy. Jeff Tremaine ("Jackass: The Movie") directed the picture. The red band trailer provides some hilarious new stuff that simply could not be shown in the regular trailer and the clip previews the scene in which Irving and his nephew do a Jackass version of "Little Miss Sunshine".

In case you missed the crazy dudes from "Jackass", here's a little something that will make your day. Paramount Pictures has released the first trailer for the upcoming comedy "Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa" in which Johnny Knoxville reprises the role of 85-year-old Irving Zisman from the "Jackass" show. The film mixes real pranks with a narrative involving Irving and his 8-year-old grandson Billy (Jackson Nicoll). The film is directed by Jeff Tremaine ("Jackass: The Movie"). "Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa" opens on October 25, 2013.
