"Jigsaw" is the latest installment in the successful "torture porn" franchise to top the charts, and while it's no surprise, it's also not an amazing feat during a terrible weekend in which new arrivals tanked and releases currently in theaters slowed down.

TYLER PERRY'S BOO 2! A MADEA HALLOWEEN Trailers, Clips, Featurette, Images and Posters

Tyler Perry returns as Madea in "Boo 2! A Madea Halloween", the tenth installment in the series and a sequel to 2016's "Boo! A Madea Halloween". Madea and company are back in action as they venture to Camp Derrick, a haunted campground where monsters, goblins and the bogeyman are unleashed.

The film also stars Cassi Davis, Patrice Lovely, Taja V. Simpson, Diamond White, Lexy Panterra, Andre Hall, Inanana Sarkis and Yousef Erakat.

"Tyler Perry's Boo 2! A Madea Halloween" was released in theaters on October 20th, 2017 and received universal hate from critics and moviegoers alike. But that isn't really news when talking about a Tyler Perry flick. Neither is the fact that the film opened in first place at the box-office with $21.2 million.

Weekend Box-Office: Madea Sequel BOO 2! Tops the Charts As Other New Releases Struggle

I suppose it's no longer a surprise that Tyler Perry's movies make a lot of money, so then you won't find it strange that the latest Madea flick "Boo 2! A Madea Halloween" is at the top of the box-office, ahead of a big-budget disaster movie, a true story firefighter drama and a dark serial killer thriller, all of which have struggled over the weekend.
