Weekend Box-Office: JIGSAW Dismembers Competition in Yet Another Slow Weekend
"Jigsaw" is the latest installment in the successful "torture porn" franchise to top the charts, and while it's no surprise, it's also not an amazing feat during a terrible weekend in which new arrivals tanked and releases currently in theaters slowed down.

GEOSTORM Trailers, Clips, Featurettes, Images and Posters
"Geostorm" is a sci-fi disaster film co-written and directed by "Independence Day" writer Dean Devlin.
When a network of satellites designed to control Earth's weather turns against its creators and triggers a devastating global geostorm, it's up to satellite designer (Gerard Butler) and his brother (Jim Sturgess) to come up with a plan to save humanity. Abbie Cornish, Alexandra Maria Lara, Daniel Wu, Eugenio Derbez, Ed Harris and Andy Garcia also star.
The film went through several difficulties during production and was delayed for re-shoots in 2016, for which Warner Bros. brought in producer Jerry Bruckheimer, writer Laeta Kalogridis and director Danny Cannon.
"Geostorm" opened in theaters on October 20th, 2017 and received overwhelmingly negative reviews from critics. The film also bombed at the box-office, opening with only $13.7 million in the U.S. against a $120 million budget.

A Madea Halloween" is at the top of the box-office, ahead of a big-budget disaster movie, a true story firefighter drama and a dark serial killer thriller, all of which have struggled over the weekend.
