The second season of the half-hour anthology series "Cake" has premiered on March 5, 2020 on FXX. The series features multiple short subjects, both live action and animated. The second season has been described as having a more traditional comedy vibe.

Product Description: Cake takes us into the darkly funny world of Claire Bennett (Jennifer Aniston) who initiates a dubious relationship with a widower (Sam Worthington) while confronting fantastical hallucinations of his dead wife (Anna Kendrick). CAKE Trailer and Poster: Jennifer Aniston Delivers Riveting Dramatic Performance

The trailer and poster for the drama "Cake" have been released. The film stars Jennifer Aniston as a woman who becomes fascinated by the suicide of a woman (Anna Kendrick) in her chronic pain support group and develops a relationship with her husband (Sam Worthington). It looks like a solid dramatic effort from Aniston and the supporting cast looks equally amazing. Chris Messina, Felicity Huffman, William H. Macy, Britt Robertson, Lucy Walters, Lucy Punch, Mamie Gummer, Camille Mana, Manuel Garcia Rulfo and Marianne Jean-Baptiste also star.

"Cake" opens in limited release in December followed by a wider release in January. Obviously, they're expecting Aniston to pick up some nominations in the upcoming awards season.
