"Ice Age: Collision Course" opens today in theaters, but the critical reception has been as cold as the glaciation itself. This new sequel is unoriginal and unfunny, according to a majority of reviews, but as long as the box-office looks good, they'll probably keep making more sequels.

Directed by Mike Thurmeier and Galen T. Chu, the film features the voices of Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, Melissa Rauch, Jennifer Lopez, Adam Levine, Nick Offerman, Simon Pegg, Stephanie Beatriz, Wanda Sykes and Max Greenfield.

"Ice Age: Collision Course" is the fifth installment in the long-running animated franchise. The stakes this time are downright apocalyptic as our favorite band of prehistoric creatures voiced by humans embark on a quest to save themselves after Scrat accidentally sets off a series of cosmic events that threaten to destroy the Ice Age World.

The film is directed by Mike Thurmeier and Galen T. Chu, and it features voices of Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, Melissa Rauch, Jennifer Lopez, Adam Levine, Nick Offerman, Simon Pegg, Stephanie Beatriz, Wanda Sykes and Max Greenfield.

The first trailer and posters for the animated sequel "Ice Age: Collision Course" have been released. The film's new plot is triggered by Scrat himself when his epic pursuit to get his claws on the legendary acorn catapults him outside of Earth, where he accidentally sets off a series of cosmic events that transform and threaten the planet.
