Lin Shaye & Amelia Eve To Star in INSIDIOUS 6

Lin Shaye and Amelia Eve ("The Haunting of Bly Manor", "The Blind") will be headlining the sixth installment in the horror franchise "Insidious". The new sequel is developed by Blumhouse and Sony Pictures' Screen Gems and Stage 6 Films, and will be directed by Jacob Chase ("Come Play") from a script he co-wrote alongside David Leslie Johnson.

Plot details have not been revealed. Filming is set to begin next week in Australia, and the release date has been set for August 21, 2026. The film is produced by Jason Blum, Oren Peli, James Wan and Leigh Whannell, with executive producers Ryan Turek, Steven Schneider, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Johnson.

"Insidious" is one of the most successful horror franchises of all time, grossing a combined total of $740 million worldwide. The last installment, 2023's "Insidious: The Red Door" became the highest-grossing film in the series with $189 million worldwide. This year's TIFF marks 15 years since the original film's premiere.

Eve can also be seen leading Sebastian Gutierrez's "Leopard Skin" opposite Carla Gugino, which is now streaming on Peacock.

"Wolf Man" is a Blumhouse horror film directed by Leigh Whannell ("The Invisible Man") from a script he co-wrote alongside Corbett Tuck. The film is a reboot of Universal's classic 1941 movie "The Wolf Man", and it stars Christopher Abbott, Julia Garner, Matilda Firth and Sam Jaeger. "Wolf Man" opened in theaters on January 17, 2025.

"Insidious: The Last Key" is the fourth installment in the "Insidious" franchise created by James Wan and Leigh Whannell. Whannell returns to write this sequel which continues the story of psychic Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye) who is now faced with a haunting in her own family home. The film also stars Whannell, Angus Sampson, Spencer Locke, Caitlin Gerard, Bruce Davison, Josh Stewart, Kirk Acevedo, Tessa Ferrer and Javier Botet.

"Insidious: The Last Key" opened in theaters on January 5, 2018 and received mixed to negative reviews. It grossed $29.5 million in its opening weekend, and has so far brought in $59 million domestically and $68 million overseas, against a $10 million budget.

New THE BYE BYE MAN Trailer, Clips and Images

The horror film "The Bye Bye Man" tells the story of three friends who stumble upon the origins of the so-called Bye Bye Man, a mysterious figure that makes people do horrifying deeds. The only way to prevent the curse is to not think of his name or speak of him. But once the Bye Bye man is in your head, he is in control.

The film was directed by Stacy Title ("The Last Supper") from a script by Jonathan Penner ("Let the Devil Wear Black") based on the chapter "The Bridge to Body Island" in Robert Damon Schneck's book "The President's Vampire". The cast features Douglas Smith, Lucien Laviscount, Jenna Kanell, Michael Trucco, Faye Dunaway, Carrie-Anne Moss, Leigh Whannell and Doug Jones as the Bye Bye Man.

"The Bye Bye Man" opened in theaters on January 13th, 2017 to generally negative reviews, but grossed $16 million on a budget of only $7.4 million. I smell a sequel.
