2021 Emmy Nominations: The Complete List

The nominations for the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards have been revealed, and this year HBO/HBO Max gathered 130 nods, narrowly edging Netflix's 129 nominations.

The most nominated shows this year are "The Crown", tied with "The Mandalorian" (24), followed by "Wandavision" (23), "The Handmaid's Tale" (21), "Saturday Night Live" (21), "Ted Lasso" (20) and "Lovecraft Country" (18).

Among limited series, the top contenders are "Mare of Easttown" with 16 nominations, and "The Queen's Gambit" with 16 nods.

Final voting by members of the Television Academy will run from August 19-30.

The Primetime Emmys will air live Sunday, September 19, on CBS and stream on Paramount+. Cedric the Entertainer will host the ceremony, which will be held in-person at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Today we have new trailers for:

• The upcoming Quibi short-form comedy series "Reno911!" from comedians Thomas Lennon, Robert Ben Garant and Kerri Kenney-Silver. The original show ran for six sesons on Comedy Central from 2003 to 2009. Most of the original cast has returned.
• HBO's new original series "Lovecraft Country" set during the 1950s that mixes historical fiction with H.P. Lovecraft-inspired supernatural horror. Based on the novel of the same name by Matt Ruff, the show is executive produced by Misha Green ("Underground"), Jordan Peele ("Get Out") and J.J. Abrams ("Star Wars", "Star Trek"). The cast features Jonathan Majors, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Courtney B. Vance, Michael Kenneth Williams, Aunjanue Ellis and Abbey Lee.
• The second season of the supernatural horror series "NOS4A2" starring Zachary Quinto and Ashleigh Cummings.
• The Netflix documentary series "Trial by Media" from executive producers George Clooney and Grant Heslov
• The upcoming HBO documentary series "I'll Be Gone in the Dark" that explores writer Michelle McNamara's investigation into the Golden State Killer.

Abbey Lee Replaces Elizabeth Debicki in Jordan Peele's LOVECRAFT COUNTRY

"Neon Demon" and "Mad Max: Fury Road" star Abbey Lee has joined the cast of Jordan Peele's upcoming drama series "Lovecraft Country". Lee will replace Elizabeth Debicki ("Widows") in one of the main supporting roles.

Developed for HBO by Peele and Misha Green ("Underground") based on the novel of the same name by Matt Ruff, the show follows Atticus Freeman (Jonathan Majors) as he joins up with his friend Letitia (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) and his Uncle George (Courtney B. Vance) to embark on a road trip across 1950s Jim Crow America in search of his missing father. Lee will star as Christina Braithwaite, the only daughter of the leader of a secret order calling themselves the "Sons of Adam", who keeps failing in trying to earn her father's respect, and is willing to use Atticus and his family to help pave her own path to power.

The cast also includes Jamie Chung, Jordan Patrick Smith, Michael K. Williams, Wunmi Mosaku, Aunjanue Ellis and Jamie Harris. Chung will play Ji-Ah, a seemingly naive nursing student who finds herself thrust into active service when war breaks out. However, a rash of soldier disappearances suggests she is more than what she seems. Smith plays William, Christina's henchmen, lover, bodyguard, spy, and anything else she needs him to be when she needs him to be it.

Misha Green will also serve as writer and showrunner. J.J. Abrams is on board as executive producer alongside Green and Peele. The pilot episode was directed by Yann Demange ("'71", "White Boy Rick"). The rest of the series will be directed by Emmy-winning TV helmer Daniel Sackheim ("True Detective", "Game of Thrones", "NYPD Blue").

Jordan Peele's recent TV projects include the acclaimed remake of "The Twilight Zone" on CBS, and the YouTube anthology series "Weird City".

"Lovecraft Country" is expected to be released by HBO sometime in 2020.
