"Funny Woman" is a British drama series directed by Oliver Parker and adapted by Morwenna Banks based on the best-selling novel "Funny Girl" by Nick Hornby. The cast includes Gemma Arterton, Arsher Ali, Tom Bateman, Matthew Beard, Leo Bill, Alexa Davies, Clare-Hope Ashitey, Rosie Cavaliero, Alistair Petrie and Rupert Everett. The show premiered February 9, 2023 on Sky Max in the UK, and on January 7, 2024 on PBS in the US.

STATE OF THE UNION Season 2 Trailer, Images and Poster

The second season of the British comedy series "State of the Union" has premiered on February 14, 2022 on SundanceTV. The new season stars Patricia Clarkson and Brendan Gleeson. Stephen Frears returns to direct from a script written by Nick Hornby.

BROOKLYN Trailer, Clips, Images and Posters

Today we have the official trailer, clips, images and posters for the historical period drama "Brooklyn" which is now in limited release in theaters.

Based on Colm Tóibín's novel of the same name, the film stars Saoirse Ronan as a young Irish immigrant who arrives in 1950s Brooklyn where she falls in love. But, the past disrupts her life and she must choose between two countries and the lives that exist within.

Directed by John Crowley ("Closed Circuit") from a script by Nick Hornby ("An Education", "About a Boy"), the film also stars Emory Cohen, Domhnall Gleeson, Julie Walters, Matt Glynn, Barbara Drennan and Eileen O'Higgins.

6 New Clips for WILD Starring Reese Witherspoon

Six clips have been released for the drama "Wild". The film is based on Cheryl Strayed's memoir and it stars Reese Witherspoon as a woman who after years of reckless, destructive behavior, decides to take a soul-healing hike across the Pacific Crest Trail. The film is directed by Jean-Marc Vallée whose "Dallas Buyers Club" earned Matthew McConaughey his first Academy Award, and so far it look like Witherspoon is well on her way to earning a nomination next year for her performance. Laura Dern, Michiel Huisman, Gaby Hoffman, Thomas Sadoski and Kevin Rankin also star.

"Wild" is now in theaters.

WILD Trailer and Poster: Reese Witherspoon Takes Soul Healing Hike

The first trailer and poster for the drama "Wild" have been released. Based on Cheryl Strayed's memoir, the film stars Reese Witherspoon as Strayed, a woman who after years of reckless, destructive behavior, decides to hike more than a thousand miles of the Pacific Crest Trail, alone, a journey that will ultimately heal her. The film will be directed by Jean-Marc Vallée ("Dallas Buyers Club") and the adaptation was written by Nick Hornby ("An Education", "About a Boy"). Laura Dern, Michiel Huisman, Gaby Hoffman, Thomas Sadoski and Kevin Rankin also star.

"Wild" opens in theaters on December 5th.

A LONG WAY DOWN (2014) - International Trailer

A new international trailer has been released for the dramedy "A Long Way Down", an adaptation of "About A Boy" author Nick Hornby's novel. The story follows four strangers, played by Pierce Brosnan, Toni Collette, Aaron Paul and Imogen Poots, who accidentally meet on the top of a London skyscraper on New Year’s Eve while they were each trying to commit suicide. The four make a pact to stay alive until Valentine’s Day. The cast also features Rosamund Pike, Sam Neill and Tuppence Middleton.

"A Long Way Down" will be available on VOD June 5th and U.S. theaters on July 11th.

The first trailer and poster for the dramedy "A Long Way Down" have been released. The film, based on "About A Boy" author Nick Hornby's novel, is the story of four strangers, played by Pierce Brosnan, Toni Collette, Aaron Paul and Imogen Poots, who meet on the top of a London skyscraper on New Year’s Eve, each of them planning to commit suicide. The four strangers form a bond and they make a pact to stay alive until Valentine’s Day. Rosamund Pike, Sam Neill and Tuppence Middleton also star.

"A Long Way Down" opens in the U.K. on March 21, 2014.

Reese Witherspoon Joins Disney’s HAPPILY EVER AFTER & Begins Filming WILD

Reese Witherspoon ("Walk the Line", "Mud") is working hard these days. Apart from one film which is to be released this year, one that is currently in post-production and two others in pre-production, she has just signed on to star in and produce Disney's fantasy comedy "Happily Ever After". Not only that, but she has also begun filming for the drama "Wild".

"Happily Ever After" is a new spin on the usual fairy tale stories and it "catches up with a prince and princess about 10 years after they have ridden off into the sunset for their ‘happily ever after.’ The couple discovers that even in fairy tale land, you have to work to keep your relationship and life together." The project began as a pitch for the studio by Nahnatchka Khan, creator of "Don’t Trust the B---- in Apartment 23"

Filming on "Wild" has begun in Oregon this week. The film is directed by Jean-Marc Vallée ("Dallas Buyers Club") and Witherspoon stars as a woman who undertakes a 1,100-mile solo hike as a way to recover from the dissolution of her marriage and death of her mother. The script is written by Nick Hornby ("High Fidelity") based on Cheryl Strayed's memoir. The film also stars Michiel Huisman, W. Earl Brown, Gaby Hoffman and Kevin Rankin.

Reese Witherspoon can also be seen this year in Atom Egoyan's biographical drama "Devil's Knot". In 2014 Witherspoon will appear in the drama "The Good Lie", the sci-fi adventure "Passengers" which also stars Keanu Reeves, and director/writer Paul Thomas Anderson's crime thriller "Inherent Vice".
