New on DVD and Blu-ray: August 1, 2017

The new DVD and Blu-ray releases for the week of August 1st, 2017 include the hi-tech thriller "The Circle" starring Emma Watson and Tom Hanks, the comedy "Going in Style" starring Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Alan Arkin, the drama "Wakefield" starring Bryan Cranston and the sci-fi dramedy "Colossal" starring Anne Hathaway.

In the television category we have two new releases from HBO, the mini-series "Big Little Lies" and the first season of "Crashing", as well as the second season of the thriller series "Fortitude".

Also out now on Blu-ray are Limited Edition Steelbook editions for John Carpenter's classics "They Live", "Escape from New York" and "The Fog", and a new Collector's Edition for James Gunn's "Slither".

PHOENIX FORGOTTEN Trailers, Clip, Featurettes, Images and Posters

"Phoenix Forgotten" is a found footage horror film with a sci-fi twist produced by Ridley Scott ("Alien") and directed by Justin Barber. The film chronicles the final hours of a group of teenagers through unseen footage discovered 20 years later. The film's premise is based on the event known as "Phoenix Lights" that occured in Phoenix, Arizona and Sonora, Mexico on March 13, 1997.

The film stars Florence Hartigan, Luke Spencer Roberts, Chelsea Lopez, Justin Matthews, Clint Jordan and Cyd Strittmatter.

"Phoenix Forgotten" premiered in the U.S. on April 21, 2017 and received mixed reviews from critics. It did not make the Top 10 at the box-office, grossing only $1.9 million from 1,592 theaters in its opening weekend.

Weekend Box-Office: FATE OF THE FURIOUS Scores $900M Worldwide

For a second consecutive weekend at the box-office, "The Fate of the Furious" topped the charts and continued to sweep ticket sales worldwide, while newcomers "Unforgettable", "The Promise" and "Phoenix Forgotten" were overtaken by Disney's nature documentary "Born in China".
