Amy Sherman-Palladino, the show stars
Rachel Brosnahan as Miriam "Midge" Maisel, a Jewish housewife in the 1950s who decides to become a stand-up comic. The second season finds Midge confronted with more challenges as she climbs up the stand-up world, while trying to find a way to tell her family about what she is really doing.
The cast also includes
Alex Borstein, Michael Zegen, Tony Shalhoub, Marin Hinkle, Kevin Pollak and
Nunzio Pascale. The show has won two Golden Globe Awards for (Best TV Series - Musical or Comedy and Best Actress - Musical or Comedy), and five Primetime Emmy Awards (including Outstanding Comedy Series and Lead Actress).
