This week in theaters get ready for worldwide destruction as "Independence Day: Resurgence" hits theaters. If big CGI movies aren't your thing, you could go for Blake Lively in a bikini fighting a Great White shark in "The Shallows". If that still isn't your thing, check out the historical drama "Free State of Jones" starring Matthew McConaughey. For kinky horror fans, Nicolas Winding Refn's "The Neon Demon" is now in theaters. THE SHALLOWS - 3 Clips, B-Roll and 21 Pictures

Jaume Collet-Serra's shark thriller "The Shallows" starring Blake Lively opens in theaters today, and Sony has released a batch of three clips, a B-Roll, and twenty-one new images for the film.

Even though critics are pretty hard on genre films like this, "The Shallows" succeeded in attracting a majority of positive reviews. The film offers lots of survival horror thrills and a fantastic performance from Lively, and some critics have even declared that it's the best shark movie since "Jaws".

Sony has released the final trailer, a batch of promotional images and two international posters for Jaume Collet-Serra's shark thriller "The Shallows".

The survival horror stars Blake Lively as a young medical student and pro surfer who finds herself stranded on a rock just 200 yards from shore after being attacked by an enormous great white shark. Now she has to muster the will to survive against impossible odds and as the new trailer's 1951 inspirational voice-over tells us, self-reliance is the key to success.

"The Shallows" opens in theaters on June 29th.

New Trailer and Poster for THE SHALLOWS Starring Blake Lively

A new trailer and international poster for Jaume Collet-Serra's "The Shallows" have been released.

The thriller stars Blake Lively as a woman who is attacked by a great white shark while surfing and ends up stranded on a rock just 200 yards from shore. The new trailer provides a lot more footage and more background to her story, but some might say it also spoils a bit too much of the action. Still, it looks like it's essentially a one-woman show, and I'm excited to see if Collet-Serra can pull this one off.

"The Shallows" opens in theaters on June 29th.

The first trailer, image and poster for the shark thriller "The Shallows" have been released online.

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra ("Non-Stop", "Orphan"), the film stars Blake Lively as a woman who is attacked by a great white shark while surfing alone and ends up stranded on a big rock just 200 yards from shore.

"The Shallows" opens in theaters on June 24th.
